| 🇫🇷 La barque se fait chahuter depuis trois bonnes heures déjà, Ery s'active en vain à amorcer, relance sa ligne, vérifie les autres, il vient de me dire "je ne partirai pas d'ici sans un thon...", et sa ligne finit enfin par se raidir brutalement, le premier thon de la journée est là... La pêche traditionnelle Capverdienne se fait en plusieurs étapes. La première consiste à capturer les appâts qui serviront à la pêche du thon. Une bonne matinée est nécessaire pour cela. Elle se faisait par le passé à la canne en agitant un hameçon au milieu d'une boule de poissons présents à certaines saisons. Lorsque ces poissons ne sont pas là, la capture se fait au filet avec pour cible une autre espèce de poissons : Les demoiselles appelées en Europe les Castagnoles. Une pêche plutôt sportive nécessitant deux barques, des hommes de mains pour lacher et reprendre le filet et deux plongeurs au minimum. Les pêcheurs de différentes barques s'associent pour réaliser cette pêche et consommeront les vifs en commun. Une fois la capture réalisée les poissons sont conservés vivants dans des nasses laissées ancrées en mer en bord de littoral. |

La première des tâches à réaliser est de se rendre à la nasse des vifs laissée ancrée la veille et de récupérer à l'aide d'une épuisette suffisamment de vifs pour un journée de pêche. Les vifs sont stockés dans un compartiment du bateau isolé et percé par le fond afin que l'eau de mer puisse rentrer. Le compartiment étant isolé du reste de la barque, il se remplit d'eau jusqu'à l'équilibre que Mr Archimède aura pris soin de calculer !! La physique est bien faite !! Direction le site de pêche, une zone connue des pêcheurs où les fonds remontent à une 60aine de mètres et où les courants passent assez fortement. Cela attirent la vie marine, puis la chaine logique, les petits poissons et les plus gros, les thons. Les pêcheurs ont réalisé des installations pour mouiller leurs barques plus facilement. Une nuée d'oiseaux se ruent sur les vifs jetés et font mettre en colère le patron de la barque. C'est le jeu... Tout cela s'enchaine ainsi, les lancers de vifs, la ligne, les lancers de vif, la ligne et une insulte pour un oiseau de temps à autre. Les heures passent, rien, il faut de la patience.
