For this new theme 'Favorite bird" I publish a photo from Pelican which I met in Gambia this year. A really strange animal that I did not know before, so big and so fast. I still wonder how a so heavy bird can stop on the mangrove trees ???

They are amazingly big and elegant in flight. But seeing them perching on tree is extraordinary.
