What one more year of life means: turning 26

Mi cumpleaños es una fecha que me llena de alegría, es un año más de vida y tiendo a reflexionar acerca de todo lo que he crecido, avanzado o incluso fallado en comparación con los años anteriores, últimamente me tomo este día para hacerme un video a mí misma como una especie de memoria o capsula del tiempo con algunas palabras para la mariana del futuro, me sirve como reflexión o quizá mas bien como un lindo abrazo ensimismado.

My birthday is a date that fills me with joy, it is one more year of life and I tend to reflect on all that I have grown, advanced or even failed compared to previous years, lately I take this day to make a video to myself as a kind of memory or time capsule with some words for the Mariana of the future, it serves me as a reflection or perhaps rather as a nice embrace self-absorbed.

When I was younger I thought that the closer I got to 30 the more "resolved" my life would be and with time I have learned that age has little to do with it, rather I am learning that there is no rush, the 20s is an ideal age to make mistakes and reinvent myself, Of course with a weight of responsibility even greater than when you were a teenager, but nothing to do with the term of expiration that many say is reached when you are closer to 30, haha as if 30 was an age limit to dream, venture to do new things, have fun or just be yourself.

Cuando era más pequeña creí que mientras más cerca alcanzara los 30 más “resuelta” estaría mi vida y con el tiempo he aprendido que poco tiene que ver la edad en esto, mas bien estoy aprendiendo que no hay prisa, los 20s es una edad ideal para equivocarse y reinventarse, claro que con un peso de responsabilidad aun mayor a cuando uno fue adolescente, pero nada que ver con el termino de caducidad que muchos dicen que se alcanza cuando mas cerca se esta de los 30, jaja como si los 30 fuera una edad tope a soñar, aventurarse a hacer cosas nuevas, divertirse o simplemente ser tu mismo.
