I attended a friend's burial. My Actifit Report Card: August 25 2025

‎What a sorrowful day!!

‎Yesterday filled my mind with thoughts about the reality of life and what awaits me in the future because there is this travel all human who are now alive are likely to join. Yesterday, a friend commenced hers and as I was present to wave her goodbye, I imagined how mine would be someday.
‎

‎It was the funeral of my friend's sister-in-law who died mysteriously months ago. Yea, I used the word mysteriously because some doctors diagnosed her of intestine cancer while others diagnosed her of ulcer. So, no one said for sure what her problem is. All we know is that they were just predicting.
‎
‎So, yesterday, her corpse was laid to the ground. Myself also attended the burial yesterday at Umuoru village located at Ukpakiri under obingwa local government of Abia State.

‎The burial was conducted by Jehovah's witnesses. After opening song and prayer, the speaker was introduced and he first mentioned how death entered into the world through sin committed by our first parents Adam and Eve. After much explanation, he mentioned the only hope awaiting the dead which is resurrection in the last day.
‎

‎But as for us present at the burial, he said that as we are there, it is our own burial that we just attended because one day, we will be in the same state with the corpse lying in the gasket because she too was once like us. So, one day, we too could be like her.
‎

‎Furthermore, he said that now that we are still alive is the only time we have to improve our relationship with God so as to be among those that will benefit from God's promise of resurrection if eventually we kickoff the bucket tomorrow.

‎The burial discourse lasted for only an hour and her corpse was buried.
‎
‎Before I could reach my house was by 6:30pm because I walked over a mile before I get a taxi though am not at lost because it helped me in reaching 5k+ activity count. Next, I retired for the day.
