A friend said goodbye to singleness on December 27th 2025. Wishing her the best.
It is always a thing of joy to see a friend waving goodbye to singleness. It is one of the happiest moments. I could remember when we do gist together and we always share unharmful gossips about ourselves together and sometimes, we do include other people but it is not harmful lolz 😂😂.
I helped her in organizing certain things for the success of the wedding and on the 27th of this month (Saturday 27th December 2025) she said I do to the man whom she chooses.
On that very day, I and my senior friend Madam Shully, sat quietly at one of the canopies watching as the occasion progresses.
First, the master of ceremony (MC) invited her to come and welcome her guests as it is part of tradition here. She danced with her maidens with a perfume in her hand. She then sprayed the perf on everyone present at the moment.
Spraying a perf on the clothes of her visitors is a remarkable sign that she have welcomed them and have also appreciated their presence. Done with that part, she danced back to the house where she came out from.
Next, the MC invited the groom to present himself. He too danced with his men. His men are all dressed in senator attire. They all danced with him down to the event center where he sat down at the middle of his men. Why? Here in our state, it is part of the tradition that he do so in other for the bride to search for him for a while. Nevermind, the next unfold event will speak more on that.
Immediately, the MC invited the bride to come out for a second time. This time, she changed her outfit to match with her husband's outfit. She then danced with her maidens once again in a grand style with a soothing music.
As soon as she arrived. The Chairman of the occasion gave her a cup of palm wine 🍷 to hunt for the man agreeable to her heart. The man that made her to accept to be a wife. The only man she is ready to render submissiveness to. At that, she collected the cup of palm wine 🍷 and started dancing in a soft way in hunt of her hero.
She searched for him round all the canopies until she found him. Then, she knelt down in his front and then handed the cup of palmy to him. He drank it, put in some cash inside the cup, lifted up his wife from the floor where she knelt and both walked down to the Chairman.
At that very moment, I became busy with other activities that I couldn't get the remaining event pictures. But I can tell you the remaining actions without images.
As they walked down to the Chairman, he gave the bride a drink to take present her man to her father. If the father should accept the drink, it means that he supports both to be husband and wife. But if he should reject it, it means that the wedding must end. Happily, the father accepted and even threw some blessings to them.
They did same for the mother, and she too accepted and accompanied her acceptance with huge blessings.
That was the end of the ceremony. They shared assorted foods and drinks. We all ate and expressed our happiness for them. I handed over my souvenir to her and that made her happy. We hugged and immediately, I handed over things to the family and left.
