WEEK 211 ~ SEAPHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
Way back last year befor the onset of Typhoon Odette in our country especially in the province of Southern Leyte, our province is blessed with so many beach tourist spots. Most of the resorts were built along the shorelines of Southern Leyte. The province is frequently visited by tourist all over the country. The beaches areas had the best and magnificent views of the sea/ocean. It has the clearest crystal blue seawaters.
My family is an fanatic of our beaches here in Southern Leyte. One of their favorites is the Tagbak Marine Park in Liloan, Southern Leyte. We proudly claimed that it is of the little paradise that the province can offer. Moreover, the park offers a lot of marine activities not only swimming and enjoying the view. The available amenities were snorkeling, stand-up paddle boarding, diving, boating and visit to nearby islets. The park strecthes a very long boardwalk where they have built their wooden gazeboos in the center. It is very easy to locate and it is as well as accessible because it is along the road.
However, due to a natural disaster last December 2021, all our coastal resorts and tourist spots were severely damaged by Typhoon Odette. Over a single night, we lost our little paradise. The province is still recovering up to this time, not all had gone back and open up for business. It was hard for some because, nothing was left, only sands and peebles and rubbles. It was heartbreaking, truly! All we can do now is look back at this pictures and remember its glory days.
