My Actifit Report Card: July 3 2026

Hey Actifitters,

With the heat still very bad yesterday, I didn't really pay attention to the actual weather, and when I got alerts on my phone that violent storms were on the way, we immediately went outside for a quick walk. Clouds were indeed very menacing already.

But we still had a little time to enjoy the greenery and go to the small forest.

Even with the storms getting closer, we could hear the thunder very close, it was still very hot and muggy, and of course it came with lots of mosquitoes.

So we quickly went onto the neighborhood streets again. I didn't want to go far from the house in case the rain started. And the wind was really picking up, quite impressive actually. I think the wind noise and just its power kind of confused that poor squirrel that was just standing in front of that tree. It only climbed in when we were just a couple meters from it!

Clouds became more threatening and wind even more powerful and finally it started to rain, just as we were getting back home.

We could hear from inside it was pretty heavy thunderstorms, and it lasted longer than most storms we usually get. But luckily, when it finally ended and we got out to check out the yard, no real damages, just some beautiful leaves with raindrops. Many people in the area weren't that lucky, lots of downed trees and power outage all over the area.

Kaia and Le Chat were happy to reunite. For some reason, Le Chat stayed outside during the storms, just hiding under the deck I think.

Since we still had a little daylight, we added another short loop in the forest again.

As we were getting out, the sky looked beautiful.

And indeed beautiful colors filled the sky and the entire place kind of looked purple actually.

But it was getting late, and the darkness arrived soon.

Well, in spite of the storms, it was a pretty good day. It started late and we took it easy but I guess that's what a day off is for. Let's see if we can be a little more efficient during the rest of the weekend.
