Exploring Mexico City - Part 1

Mi última aventura fue asistir al Talent Land y ya hablé de ello en esta publicación, por si aún no la han visto. Pero inesperadamente la aventura continuó en Ciudad de México, un lugar donde ya había estado otras veces, pero nunca había salido del aeropuerto, por lo que como tal no la conocía.

Apenas pude estar 3 días en esta inmensa ciudad y poco más de dos horas fue lo que pude disponer para salir a caminarla con mi cámara en la mano. Aun así creo que logre sacarle partido a ese poco tiempo. Pude fotografiar a su gente, su arquitectura y su realidad, al menos en la zona donde me encontraba. No esperen ver el Ángel de la Independencia, pues solo pude verlo desde un taxi y a duras penas.

En esta publicación si podrán ver la arquitectura a mi alrededor o al menos lo que más me llamo la atención en ese sentido. Tuve la suerte de salir durante la tarde, acercándose el atardecer, por lo que la iluminación en muchas ocasiones era la ideal. Digo muchas veces porque en ocasiones no era tan así y es algo que me sorprendió, pues hasta ahora nunca había tenido en cuenta la altura de los edificios durante un atardecer. En las últimas dos fotos podría notarse más lo digo.

My latest adventure was attending Talent Land and I already talked about it in this post, in case you haven't seen it yet. But unexpectedly the adventure continued in Mexico City, a place where I had been before, but had never left the airport, so I didn’t really know it as such.

I could only spend 3 days in this immense city and just over two hours was all I could spare to walk around with my camera in hand. Still, I think I managed to make the most of that short time. I was able to photograph its people, its architecture, and its reality, at least in the area where I was. Don’t expect to see the Angel of Independence, as I could only see it from a taxi and barely.

In this post, you will be able to see the architecture around me or at least what caught my attention the most in that sense. I was lucky to go out in the afternoon, approaching sunset, so the lighting was ideal many times. I say many times because sometimes it wasn't like that, which surprised me because I had never taken into account the height of the buildings during a sunset. In the last two photos, you might notice more of what I mean.
