Shadow Hunters Community Contest SMASh - Round 371

Shadow Hunters Community Contest SMASh - Round 371

After a little over a week of cloudy skies and showers during the early morning or early morning hours, today finally dawned clear and quite sunny.

As I headed to the kitchen to brew a hot cup of coffee to wake up my body, I came across this shadow of the balcony railings and me at the front door of the apartment where I live.

Probably in other conditions I would not have been surprised, however, the balcony and windows of the apartment are south facing, so this small section of the apartment rarely or almost never has the illumination of the sun at any time of the year, either in the morning or in the evening, so I found the origin of the light source quite curious.

As I looked out on the balcony I noticed a very intense reflection, as if it were a lighthouse or a flash, on the windows of a building located on the other side of the avenue, about 100 meters away (about 109 yards) that impacted directly on my building creating this unusual shadow on the door.

As I have described in previous posts, I usually make use of the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed, with the aim of improving or highlighting some element of my images.
