Habitat is a physical place that possesses the appropriate conditions for an organism, a species or an animal or plant community to live. Therefore, it is the space in which a biological population can live and reproduce in order to perpetuate its presence on the planet.

It is essential to bear in mind that both human action and certain natural phenomena can modify the habitat of a species, which generates a considerable series of changes so that they can adapt to a new environment.

During last Good Friday of the recently concluded Holy Week, I was touring Santa Rosa, a beautiful town located a short distance from my city, and in which, in the perimeter of its central square, there are many dovecotes that serve as home to dozens or hundreds of pigeons, which walk on the cobblestone floor of the square or fly, mingling among the visitors.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

Hábitat es un lugar físico que posee las condiciones apropiadas para que viva un organismo, una especie o una comunidad animal o vegetal. Por lo tanto, se trata del espacio en el cual una población biológica puede habitar y reproducirse, de tal manera que pueda perpetuarse su presencia en el planeta.

Es primordial tener en cuenta que tanto la acción humana como ciertos fenómenos naturales pueden modificar el hábitat de una especie, lo cual genera una serie considerable de cambios para que puedan adaptarse a un nuevo entorno.

Durante el pasado Viernes Santo de la recién finalizada Semana Santa, estuve recorriendo Santa Rosa, un hermoso poblado ubicado a corta distancia de mi ciudad, y en el cual, en el perímetro de su plaza central se encuentran muchos palomares que sirven de hogar a decenas o a cientos de palomas, las cuales caminan en el piso adoquinado de la plaza o vuelan, confundiéndose entre los visitantes.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
