PhotoFeed Contest - Street Photography Round 159: Shopping Day [ENG/ESP]

Shopping Day
In Venezuela, as in many other countries, Holy Week, particularly Holy Thursday and Good Friday, are public holidays. With the exception of commerce and other essential activities, businesses and government offices are closed so that their employees can participate in religious activities, although in reality, many prefer to take a few days off to relax at the beach or in the mountains.
These photos from my personal archive are from last year's Holy Week, when in the central streets of the city, you can see people walking among the shops looking for bargains and products to buy, while a few meters away, hundreds of faithful are heading to church.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Día de Compras
En Venezuela, al igual que muchos otros países, la Semana Santa, particularmente el Jueves y el Viernes Santos, son días festivos por lo que a excepción del comercio y otras actividades esenciales, las empresas y oficinas gubernamentales no laboran para que sus empleados puedan cumplir con las actividades religiosas, aunque en realidad, muchos prefieren tomarse algunos días de descanso en la playa o en la montaña.
Estas fotos de mi archivo personal, corresponden a la Semana Santa del año pasado, donde en las céntricas calles de la ciudad, es posible observar personas caminando entre los locales comerciales en busca de ofertas y productos para comprar mientras a escasos metros, centenares de fieles se dirigen a las iglesias.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
