PhotoFeed Contest - Street Photography Round 163: Heat [ENG/ESP]

Heat
The traditional granita or snow cone, better known in Venezuela as “raspado” or “cepillado,” is a popular treat throughout much of the country for quenching thirst and cooling off, particularly on hot, sunny days—a common occurrence given our location in the tropics.
Yesterday, Saturday, during the event marking the conclusion of the 168th Visit of the Sacred Image of the Divine Shepherdess to the city of Barquisimeto—which began on January 14 and also heralds the arrival of Holy Week— thousands of faithful gathered in the afternoon on the streets and avenues along the route back to its Sanctuary in the town of Santa Rosa, where it will remain until next year.
As usual, many street vendors join the procession seeking to sell their wares, which range from religious items and souvenirs to the ever-present slushies in various flavors.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Calor
El tradicional granizado, mejor conocido en Venezuela como raspado o cepillado, es un alimento ampliamente usado en gran parte del país para calmar la sed y refrescar el cuerpo, particularmente en los días calurosos y soleados, algo bastante común por nuestra ubicación en el trópico.
Ayer sábado, durante la jornada que significó la finalización de la Visita 168 de la Sagrada Imagen de la Divina Pastora a la ciudad de Barquisimeto, que tuvo inicio el pasado 14 de Enero, y que también marca la llegada de la Semana Santa; miles de fieles se congregaron en horas de la tarde en las calles y avenidas en su recorrido de regreso a su Santuario de la población de Santa Rosa, donde permanecerá hasta el próximo año.
Como es usual, muchos vendedores ambulantes se unen a la procesión buscando vender sus productos, los cuales incluyen desde artículos religiosos, souvenirs y hasta los infaltables granizados de diversos sabores.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
