Face
The face is the front part of the head of a human being or an animal, and through which many of the emotions can be expressed or reveal the mood at a given time.
The set of features present in a face is what gives us uniqueness, identity and individuality, allowing us to be recognized, and in turn, to recognize others.
By extension, any object that is the front of something, as is the case of the front or facade of a building, is also called a face, as is a person who represents or is at the front of an organization or institution.
I took this pair of photos of the youngest of my three nieces at the beginning of last year, after the New Year's festivities were over.
El rostro o cara es la parte frontal de la cabeza de un ser humano o de un animal, y a través del cual se pueden expresar muchas de las emociones o, revelar el estado de ánimo en un momento dado.
El conjunto de facciones presentes en un rostro, es lo que nos otorga unicidad, identidad e individualidad, permitiéndobos ser reconocidos, y a su vez, reconocer a otros.
Por extensión, cualquier objeto que sea la parte delantera de algo, como es el caso del frente o de la fachada de una edificación, también se le denomina cara, al igual que una persona que representa o se encuentra al frente de una organización o institución.
Este par de fotos correspondientes a la menor de mis tres sobrinas, la tomé a principios del año pasado, luego de finalizadas las festividades del Año Nuevo.
