Silence

Silence is the partial or total absence of sound in a given environment or moment. Also, in the field of human communication, silence means the abstention of speaking.

The fact that there is no sound does not always mean that there is no communication. Thus, in the middle of a conversation, silence can have different meanings, such as being part of the normal punctuation of a sentence or having a dramatic charge.

Last week, I walked through part of the central part of my city during the celebration of Holy Week, finding silent streets, and one or two exceptions, mostly lonely, with few people walking during the time I was there.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

El silencio es la ausencia parcial o total de sonido en un determinado entorno o momento. También, en el ámbito de la comunicación humana, el silencio significa la abstención de hablar.

Que no haya sonido alguno no siempre quiere decir que no exista comunicación, es así, que en medio de una conversación, el silencio puede tener distintos significados, como formar parte de la puntuación normal de una frase o tener una carga dramática.

La semana pasada, recorrí parte del casco central de mi ciudad durante la celebración de la Semana Santa, encontrándome con calles silenciosas, y una que otra excepción, mayormente solitarias, con pocas personas caminando durante el tiempo que estuve allí.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
