Fatima
The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima, better known as the Barici Church because it is located in this residential area in eastern Barquisimeto, is a Catholic church built in the 1970s with the support of the Portuguese immigrant community, who sought to create a space for the devotion of the Virgin of Fatima in the city they had chosen as their new home.
Although its architectural style is very simple and unremarkable, the small building has exposed columns and beams and clay brick walls, as well as two bell towers of different heights located on either side of its main entrance. However, it is the church I have been attending on Sundays for several years, and occasionally on other days of the week.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Fátima
La Iglesia Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Fátima, mejor conocida como la Iglesia de Barici, por encontrarse en este sector residencial del este de Barquisimeto, es un templo católico construído en la década de los 70 con el apoyo de la comunidad de inmigrantes portugueses, quienes procuraban crear un espacio para la devoción de la Virgen de Fátima en la ciudad que habían escogido como su nuevo hogar.
Aunque su estilo arquitectónico es muy sencillo y nada sobresaliente, la pequeña edificación cuenta con columnas y vigas a la vista y paredes revestidas en ladrillos de arcilla, además de dos campanarios de diferentes alturas ubicados a los costados de su entrada principal, sin embargo, es la iglesia a la que suelo acudir los Domingos desde hace algunos años, y eventualmente, alguno que otro día de la semana.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
