A flower is the bud composed of a set of colorful leaves that emerges in various plants and from which fruit and seeds develop and serve as the principal means by which species perpetuate and propagate themselves.

Thanks to their colors and the shapes of their petals and their aroma, flowers are used as a decorative element. They are also a common gift given to please a person, particularly a woman.

This morning after visiting my mother, I took the opportunity to take some photos of the flowers in the flower boxes outside the entrance lobby of the building where she lives.

Among the varieties I photographed were these small lilac-blue flowers that respond to the name of Plumbago auriculata, although they are also known as blue jasmine, as well as some white and red bougainvilleas.

As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original image to my satisfaction.

Una flor es el brote compuesto por un conjunto de hojas coloridas que surge en diversas plantas y a partir del cual se desarrolla el fruto y las semillas que sirven como el principal medio a través del cual las especies se perpetúan y se propagan.

Gracias a sus colores y las formas de sus pétalos y a su aroma, las flores son utilizadas como un elemento decorativo. También constituyen un regalo habitual que se realiza para agradar a una persona, particularmente a una mujer.

Esta mañana luego de visitar a mi madre, aproveché para tomar algunas fotos de las flores que se encuentran en las jardineras exteriores del lobby de entrada del edificio donde ella vive.

Entre las variedades que fotografié, se encuentran estas pequeñas flores de color azul liláceo que responden al nombre de Plumbago auriculata, aunque también se les conoce como jazmín azul, además, de algunas buganvilias blancas y rojas.

Tal como lo he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas de edición que ofrecen las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intervenir las imágenes originales a mi entera satisfacción.
