Yesterday, Sunday, I went to a well-known shopping mall near my home, not with the purpose of buying something specific but to walk around and distract myself for a while before going back to my apartment.

Shopping malls became the great showcases to display products in the last century, in addition to becoming places of entertainment for all families due to the diversity of options they offer to their visitors, including cinemas, theaters, playgrounds, bowling alleys or other sports that can be practiced indoors, not to mention the wide gastronomic offer they have, much of it in fast food format.

Unfortunately, the recent massification of online shopping has damaged this business model, because there are people who prefer to buy products from the comfort of their home or workplace, however, for me the personalized attention of the seller and the opportunity to observe the behavior of people and families who come to these centers, many in search of recreation, is a unique experience and irreplaceable by the screen of a device.

During my stay in the mall, I was able to observe the reflections that formed in the store windows: children, young people and adults, who like me, were casually strolling the aisles on a hot Sunday afternoon.

Ayer Domingo, acudí a un conocido centro comercial cercano a casa, no con la finalidad de comprar algo en específico sinó para pasear y distraerme un rato antes de regresar a mi apartamento.

Los centros comerciales se convirtieron en las grandes vitrinas para exhibir productos en el pasado siglo, además de constituirse en lugares de entretenimiento para todas las familias por la diversidad de opciones que ofrecen a sus visitantes, entre los que se incluyen cines, teatros, parques infantiles, canchas de bowling o de otros deportes que puedan practicarse bajo techo, sin olvidar mencionar la amplia oferta gastronómica con la que cuentan, mucha de ella en formato fast food.

Lamentablemente, la reciente masificación de las compras online, han perjudicado este modelo de negocio, porque existen personas que prefieren adquirir productos desde la comodidad de su hogar o lugar de trabajo, sin embargo, para mí la atención personalizada del vendedor y la oportunidad de observar el comportamiento de las personas y familias que acuden a estos centros, muchos en busca de esparcimiento, es una experiencia única e irremplazable por la pantalla de un dispositivo.

Durante mi estadía en el centro comercial, pude observar los reflejos que se formaban en las vitrinas de las tiendas: niños, jóvenes y adultos, que al igual que yo, recorrían despreocupadamente los pasillos en una calurosa tarde de Domingo.
