TABLE REPAIR [ENG-ESP]

The other day, I went with my daughter to visit a friend of hers. During our conversation, the topic of furniture, tables, and shelves came up, and my daughter's friend said she had a table that was falling apart. My daughter said, "Here's my dad, he can fix anything." (I am her father, and that's why she says that). I said, "Can we see it?" and she showed it to me. I asked her what that white thing on it was, and she said that since it was already ugly, she had stuck a plastic tablecloth on it, and since it had worn out over time, she had removed it and the glue had been left behind. I said, "Well, let me see what I can do for your table."

En estos días fuy de visita con mi hija a casa de una amiga de ella, entre un conversación y otra salió a relucir lo de los muebles, mesas y estantes y la amiga de mi hija dijo que tenía una mesa que se estaba dañando y mi hija le dijo aquí está mi papá que el lo arregla todo ,( soy su padre y por eso lo dice ) yo le dije podemos verla y me la enseño, le pregunté que era eso blanco que tenía y me dijo que como ya estaba fea ella le había pegado un mantel plástico y como se echó a perder con el tiempo se lo quito y le quedó la pega, yo le dije ,bueno déjeme ver que puedo hacer por su mesa.

Lo primero que hice fue desarmar la cubierta de la mesa de las patas para poder sacarla de la casa ya que tenia que lijar bastante y dentro de la casa no podia hacerlo,

After removing it, I began the sanding process, using 80-grit sandpaper. To sand properly, I used a piece of wood to support the sandpaper, as I had tried without the wood and found it a little more difficult to remove the white glue that was stuck to it. This sanding process took me approximately 4 hours because after removing all the glue, I had to sand the entire table so that it would be as even as possible. After sanding the entire table, I proceeded to paint it with dark mahogany varnish to cover the imperfections left by the glue.

Despues de sacarla empeze el proceso de lijado para el cual utilice lija numero 80, para poder lijar bien me apoye con un pedazo de madera en la lija ya que probe sin la madera y se me hacia un poco mas dificil poder retirarle la pega blanca que tenia pegada, este proceso de lijado me tomo aproximadamente 4 horas ya que despues de retirar toda la pega tuve que lijar toda la mesa para que pudiera quedar lo mas pareja posible. Despues que tener toda la mesa bien lijada procedi a pintarla con barniz caoba oscuro , para poder tapar las imperfecciones que le quedaron debido a la pega

I applied the first coat, let it dry for an hour, then applied the final coat, and that was it, friends. I let it dry for three hours, moved it into the house, and was really pleased with the work I had done, as was my daughter's friend.

Le eche la primera mano ,la deje secar por una hora y despues le eche la mano final y listo amigos , la deje secar por 3 horas la pase para la casa y en verdad quede bien complacido con el trabajo realizado y la amiga de mi hija tambien.
