Flashback Of The Lost

Greetings, Fellow Moment Hoarders!

This is the first photo I share out of my attempt to recover quite a lot of lost data. An external hard drive failed on me and about a couple of years of archives which were not backed up were gone... gone.

And done is done.

It's a good thing, I guess, that I was so busy I had no time to take a second look at most of the photos lost, a lot of them were never edited, I mostly... don't remember them. I had quite nice photos of our daughter and some of those now exist only as small paper copies we gave to her grandparents in albums.

Another good thing is... I have a lot of fresh photos of her, she is still in her very early years and I have a lot of stuff to look forward to in that regard.

Yet another good thing is I now focus mostly on the skills and abilities I have, rather than on specific photographs I have taken in the past.

It can't only be good, though, and I did have some stuff that I will at some point miss.

Some of the photos now exist only as small-sized images in posts here on the Hive blockchain, by the way. Such as The Pink Flamingo, The Cubist Bales of Hay, The Stork That Caught A Snake Tied in a Knot, some very nicely lit agricultural stuff I could have used, etc.

The volume of stuff that survived is still great enough to give me something to do in my spare time as little as it is.

I still have the original (but not the previously edited) photos of the wildfire near my home town and more.

As well as half my 2023 summer vacation.

Let me start sharing some of it...

Waiting...

Peace and Good Luck!
