Budapest Danube Nights

Greetings, Fellow Trotters Of The Globe And Other Seekers Of The Inevitable Damage To The Feet!

Coming in after a long pause, this time with a long exposure nightscape series from the city of Budapest, Hungary, spread wide across the mighty Danube River.

Obviously, the city had been there for some time and that has allowed it to accumulate quite a lot of architecture on both sides and across the big water. I was quite happy to explore a part of the multitude of bridges, meaning... I got to walk around three of them, while yearning for more time and energy that would have allowed me to see at least another one or two...

It is what it is. It was what it was, rather.

Going there without specific expectations, I was quite happy to find that the bridge nearest our base of operations... I mean... accommodations... has been turned into a free to use by the young generation ground that offered some good variety of physical and cultural activities, and chilling it out in general.

More about the bridge people, though, I shall post at another time.

Right now, it will be mostly sights of the structures, and the long exposure light trails from the boats.

Close details of the railings.

Then a look further left, or to the south-west, I guess, some stripe-like reflections due to the trees lining the other bank, and the street lights behind those.

Continuing along the bridge, sticking to the south side, looking back to the south-east from whence we came...

And then... north it is, hugging the other railing.

And here it is from a bit closer by...

That night, it was mine and @silver.art's second run at the same distance, going for a view of the parliament building but unlike the high noon one, I wanted night shots, too and despite our feet's eager protests, we did do it.

Some more sights along the way, through feetly pain and anguish...

Here it is, showing itself in the distance, behind Chain Bridge...

That was too tiny for its huge-ity. We had to creep still closer, crawl if we must. And crawl we did, and it hid, and it hid... but in the end, it could hide no more.

And the battery was dead.

Then it reawakened. For one more final shot, which I shall keep for another time and purpose.

Then the battery died... again.

But, oh, it had worked before it died, and pictures it help me took a plenty. And lots I have to show, perhaps not too much but in the hundreds, still. For a couple of nights, it was a wonderful trip between two wonderful and short flights.

Peace and Take Care!

Yours,

Manol
