Beachwatch — A Black and White Monomad Entry

Greetings, Fellow Monochromers And Other Sub and Shadow Acolytes!

This is my entry to the #monomad daily challenge. Here is a link to the latest collection.

Camera Settings:

Aperture F4
Shutter Speed 1/1600
Light Sensitivity ISO 200
Focal Length 200 mm

I used a Canon 70-200 4 L lens.

Similar camera settings but a crop.

Now this place view is from a different angle but still at the same general location that I featured in my previous post.

It's just that I am standing on a higher rock, looking west instead of east, and, most importantly, shooting almost conte jour again, i.e. against the light of the sunset this time.

The previous one was a morning thing, this one is late afternoon. What for me is dinner time or shooting time.

Sadly, you can't always have both at the perfect time, right? I guess the right decision would be to have an early dinner, a thing so few of us do and so rarely, and then have a nice golden hour outdoors. But that would also depend on the season. And the latitude, of course.

You might think it's not both in its presence and its apparent absence. It might look like a love-hate relationship.
