A long awaited trip to the mountains | Part 1
‘Climb mountains not so that the world can see you but so that you can see the world’ - Unknown
Greetings my fellow Hivers!
Though I started my blogging journey with photography niche back in 2018, over time I got diverted into various crypto projects, especially Splinterlands and I forgot the last time I posted a non-crypto blog on my wall. I am not complaining here, instead Hive and splinterlands are the two most precious things that I found in my life and I am very glad that I took an important decision to take blogging and gaming as my career over that shitty 9-7 boring job life.
However, the last couple of years of my life didn't go very well. First the pandemic and then a serious accident snatched out a couple of years from my life and I spent all these long months mostly in my room and away from the outside world. This long time spending inside my home also made me a home sick person and the hunger to go outside, meeting and hanging out with friends or to travel to new new places got buried down somewhere inside me. But who knew all of this was about to change?
Just recently, after having a long time relationship, I finally got married with my love on 17th of this current month and after completing all the rituals and taking a couple of days of rest, we went out for a long planned postnuptial vacation to North Sikkim! Thanks to her for flaming up this hunger again into me to pack our bags and run far away from our home to meet and experience this amazing world once again. To be honest, even before the lockdown, I wasn't that much financially strong to plan a sound trip and though I always fancy about seeing mountains and snowfall, the last time I went for a mountain trip was in 2005. But finally, one of my wild dreams to make a mountain trip finally got real and together, we hold our breaths, held hands together and after a full day long journey.. we reached Gangtok, Sikkim today.
Well, the long journey which includes bus, train and car made us exhausted and around 3.30 pm today we reached our hotel and after checking in, getting refreshed and a little walk outside, we decided to take rest for today. Tomorrow however, we will first visit some of the popular tourist places and Buddhist monasteries and also will look for some delicious local dishes. Before taking the night nap, I decided to share some photos that we took today while riding the car towards our hotel. The scenery was so beautiful that we couldn’t resist clicking some shots even when our car was jumping on a bad road full of stones. As the plains ended and a small range of mountain start showing up, our facial expression also didn’t take time to get chamged. The small river was dividing them and was flowing just parallel to the road that we were riding. We couldn’t capture any hood shots but believe me when I say it was a lot more beautiful and heat melting than these photos. Hope you enjoy them and let me know your thoughts in the comments below 😊
That light blue color of the water.. Sorry, which country is that?

The trip is really worth it .. just a little disappointment as we didn’t get snowfall.
