Photo session for the Pride Month
June is Gay Pride Month, so in collaboration with a professional makeup artist friend and a model friend, we got together to take photos alluding to this Pride Month.
Junio es el mes del orgullo gay asi que en colaboracion con una amiga maquillista profesional y un amigo modelo nos organizamos para hacer fotos alusivas a este mes del orgullo.
The professional makeup artist was in charge of styling the photos, the idea was to go for a drag style with a bit of Bratz.
For the location, we chose the city's Obelisk, a very iconic landmark in all cities around the world.
La maquillista profesional se encargó de dar el estilo para las fotos, la idea era que fuera estilo drag con algo de bratz.
Para la locacion escojimos el Obelisco de la ciudad, un punto muy iconico en todas las ciudades del mundo.
You can see a quite bluish color in the sky because we started the photoshoot during the blue hour, so we would have a spectacular soft light and I used my flash to fill in the missing light.
Pueden ver un color bastante azulado en el cielo porque empezamos la sesion de fotos en la hora azul, asi tendriamos una espectacular luz suave y usé mi flash para rellenar luz faltante.
People passing by in cars shouted things at the model like "beautiful" "spectacular" "hottie" and stuff like that... we just laughed and kept taking photos!
Las personas que pasaban en los carros le gritaban cosas a la modelo como "linda" "espectacular" "mamasita" y cosas asi... nosotros solo nos reiamos y seguiamos haciendo fotos!
The urban location with the city's artificial lights and the fill light from my flash gave a very good result, the model and the makeup artist also did an incredible job!
El escenario urbano con las luces artificiales de la ciudad y la luz de relleno de mi flash dio un resultado muy bueno, la modelo y la maquillista tambien hicieron un trabajo increible!
And finally, we got as close as we could to the obelisk and took a super iconic photo:

And to finish off, I'll leave you with two behind-the-scenes photos, as the model was wearing such giant heels that she needed help to walk quickly when crossing the street and avoid falling:

On one side of this photo we can also see my friend who is the professional makeup artist, in this photoshoot she assisted me by holding the flash equipped with a 60cm octabox.
A un lado de esta foto tambien podemos ver a mi amiga que es la maquillista profesional, en esta sesion de fotos ella me hizo la asistencia sosteniendo el flash equipado con un octabox de 60cm.
We were all surprised when we saw the photos we were getting and in the end we were all happy with the results obtained, I hope you like the photos as much as we do!
Todos nos ibamos sorpendiendo cuando veiamos las fotos que estabamos obteniendo y al final todos quedamos felices con los resultados obtenidos, espero que a ustedes les gusten las fotos tanto como a nosotros!
