Monomad Challenge - Take a glance to my city || (15 Pics)
Hello beautiful black and white community, I hope you have a nice Wednesday, my best wishes to all of you.
Today I bring you a set of very varied street photographs that range from people and urban landscapes to places, my idea with these photos is to show you the city where I live called San Cristobal located in the State of Tachira, Venezuela.
I will use these photos as an entry to the #monomad challenge.
Hoy les traigo un set de fotografias callejeras muy variadas que van desde personas y paisajes urbanos hasta lugares, mi idea con estas fotos es mostrarles la ciudad en donde vivo que se llama San Cristobal ubicada en el Estado Tachira, Venezuela.
Usare estas fotos como entrada al #monomad challenge.
Law agents: For obvious reasons I don't usually take photos of these people, some can be very problematic, but I was able to take these photos from my car without being seen by them.
Agentes de la ley: Por obvias razones no suelo tomarle fotos a estas personas, algunas pueden ser muy problematicas, pero estas fotos las pude tomar desde mi carro sin ser visto por ellos.
Cityscapes: i Photographed a church, a residential building, a school, a square and a park. I wanted to show them to you so I could give you a "glance" at our places.
Paisajes Urbanos: Fotografíe una iglesia, un edificio residencial, una escuela, una plaza y un parque. Quise mostrarselos para poder darles un "vistazo" a nuestros lugares.
Food stores: These stores in Venezuela are known as "bodegas" and it is common to see many of them near residential areas. I can tell you that these "bodegas" were the ones that helped many people have meals in their homes during the time of crisis and shortage in 2016 when food was not available in supermarkets. People bought the food in Colombia and sold it in these bodegas.
Tiendas de comida: Estas tiendas en venezuela son conocidas como "bodegas" y es comun ver muchas de ellas cerca de zonas residenciales. Puedo contarles que estas "bodegas" fueron las que ayudaron a muchas personas a tener comidas en sus hogares en la epoca de crisis y escasez en el año 2016 cuando no se conseguia comida en los supermercados. Las personas compraban el alimento en Colombia y las vendian en estas bodegas.
People:
Some people have told me that my photos of the city look "empty of people" and they think the city is desolate or something like that... But no! The truth is that many times I am the one who waits that there are no people in the scene so I can capture the photo of the city landscape.
But in these photos I want to show you that there are still people here and that the city is not desolate.
Personas:
Algunas personas me han cometando que mis fotos de la ciudad se ven "vacias de personas" y creen que la ciudad esta desolada o algo asi... Pero no! La verdad es que muchas veces soy yo el que espera que no hayan personas en la escena para poder capturar la foto del paisaje de la ciudad.
Pero en estas fotos les quiero mostrar que si siguen habiendo personas aqui y que no esta desolado.
I am a self-taught street photographer who has been practicing this genre for years. I am inspired by the streets of my city, but I also like to travel and discover new places. For me, street photography is a way to connect with the world around me and share my vision with others.
Soy un fotógrafo callejero autodidacta que lleva años practicando este género. Me inspiran las calles de mi ciudad, pero también me gusta viajar y descubrir nuevos lugares. Para mi, la fotografía callejera es una forma de conectar con el mundo que me rodea y de compartir mi visión con los demás.

You have really captured a mood in black and white. I know your country has had it's problems but your street photos really make me want to be there. It's a beautiful place.
If you can, you should come to venezuela one day, you will love it!
