Monomad Challenge - Street photography in San Cristobal Venezuela (10 pics)
On this occasion I went to a neighborhood that has a high density of inhabitants in search of stories to capture through my camera and thus be able to share them with you so that you can have a look at what a small city in Venezuela is like and maybe even be surprised by how much it may or may not resemble to your own cities.
I will use these photos as an entry to the #monomadchallenge contest.
I will start with this photo because the man who was working was very young while on the other side of the photo we can see a group of 3 friends who were around the same age as the worker who for some reason in life has not been able to enjoy a normal youth. .
En esta ocasion fuí a un barrio que tiene una gran densidad de habitantes en busqueda de historias que capturar a traves de mi camara y asi poder compartirlas con ustedes para que tengan un vistazo a como es una ciudad pequeña en venezuela y quizas hasta se sorprendan de lo mucho que puede parecerse a sus propias ciudads o quizas no.
Usaré estas fotos como entrada al concurso #monomadchallenge.
Empezaré con esta foto pues el hombre que estaba trabajando era muy joven mientras que al otro lado de la foto podemos ver un grupo de 3 amigos que rondaban la misma edad que el trabajador que por alguna razon de vida no ha podido disfrutar de una juventud normal.
A father carrying his daughter on his shoulders, I don't know about you but at least when I was a child I loved it when my father did that.
Un padre llevando a su hija en hombros, no se ustedes pero almenos a mi cuando estaba pequeño me encantaba que mi padre hiciera eso.
Passersby, each one with their particular and very varied style.
Transeuntes, cada uno con su estilo particular y muy variado.
In Venezuela it is very common to find this type of places called caucheras, there you can go with your motorcycle or car if you get a flat tire they will repair it in a matter of minutes.
En venezuela es muy comun encontrar este tipo de lugares llamados caucheras, alli puedes ir con tu moto o carro si se te pincha un neumatico alli te lo reparan en cuestion de minutos.

A field that should be full of people doing sports or children playing but due to the massive migration of Venezuelans sometimes there is a "lack of people" in the shared spaces.
Una cancha que deberia estar llena de personas haciendo deporte o niños jugando pero debido a la migracion masiva de venezolanos a veces se siente una "falta de personas" en los espacios compartidos.

In my street photographs I do not look for the "perfect image" because I like to portray reality as raw it is.
I hope you liked this variety of street photos as much as I did.
En mis fotografias callejeras no busco la "imagen perfecta" pues a mi me gusta retratar la realidad tal cual como es.
