Daily Life in San Cristobal Captured Through 50mm Lens - Monomad Challenge.

A greeting to the entire Black And White community, today I want to share a series of street photographs that I took throughout the city, in San Cristobal, Tachira State, Venezuela...

I chose the photos for this publication for their variety, through these photos I intend to show the variety of situations, scenes, landscapes and people that can be found in the daily life of this city.

I will use these photos as an entry to the #monomad challenge.

Something that I always stay alert to photograph is architecture, since there are no modern buildings in this city I decided to take a look at old things like the facade of this house:

These windows with owls caught my attention and I had to photograph them:

Or this sidewalk made of tires:

Another old thing that I also like to photograph is vehicles, because unlike many parts of the world, in Venezuela there is no law that prohibits the circulation of old vehicles, so it is very common to see this type of car still on the street...

A Vespa:

I really liked the light that illuminated this Jeep car:

Obviously, I always keep my eye out for what people are doing, because I feel that people in Venezuela are very interesting and because of the crisis they do whatever it takes to get ahead!

An elderly gentleman carrying a very heavy cart:

A person selling things on their motorcycle, which is already packed to the brim!

People in a Square:

These gentlemen sell flowers and roses on the street. They have been in that spot for so many years that the mayor's office gave them permission to sell there and they are super well-known in the city!

When I saw this tree, I knew I had to photograph it because what hangs from its branches are bird nests, it's a beautiful thing!!

I hope you found this photographic glimpse into the Venezuelan way of life, its streets, and its everyday moments interesting...

Thank you for watching!
