A variety of 20 street photographs from Venezuela - Monomad Challenge.
I'm back with a new set of street photographs! The collection I'm bringing you today has a great variety of shots, from people to landscapes to architecture.
I'll start by showing you my favorite photos, those of people, as this element has a lot of power in street photography.
This was a stolen portrait: the lady was waiting to cross the street, and what made me take the photo was that she had something in her hand and also her white hair, making her look different from the other people I usually photograph daily.
Estoy de vuelta con un nuevo set de fotografias callejeras, el set que les traigo hoy tiene una gran variedad de fotos, desde personas, paisaje hasta arquitectura.
Empezaré por mostrarles mis fotos favoritas, las de personas ya que este elemento tiene bastante fuerza en las fotografias callejeras.
Este fue un retrato robado: la señora estaba allí esperando a cruzar la calle y lo que me hizo tomar la foto fue que tenia algo en la mano y con su cabello blanco se veia diferente al resto de personas que suelo fotografiar a diario...
In the next photo, I saw a child dressed in a kimono. I observed him carefully, waiting for him to do something out of the ordinary to snap a photo. In the end, I took this shot, which I liked because each of the three people in the photo is at a different point, as if in their own world:
En la siguiente foto ví a un niño vestido con un kimono, estuve observandolo cuidadosamente esperando que hiciera algo fuera de lo comun para tomarle una foto, al final termine haciendo esta foto que me gustó porque cada una de las 3 personas de la foto esta en un punto distinto, como en su propio mundo:
I took the next photo because the gentleman was carrying a bag in a characteristic way, something uncommon to see in men. Additionally, he had a hearing device in his ear.
La siguiente foto la tomé porque el señor cargaba una bolso de una manera caracteristica, algo poco comun de ver en hombres, ademas de eso, tenia un dispositivo auditivo en su oreja.
The following photo I took is of two firefighters who were working cutting down some trees that had fallen in the street:
La siguiente foto se la tomé a dos bomberos que estaban trabajando cortando unos arboles que cayeron en la calle:
A street vendor dragging his cart, which he uses to sells sweets:
Un trabajador callejero arrastrando su carrito con el que vende dulces:
This photo was a "failed" attempt, but I ended up keeping it because the man looked directly at the camera...
Esta foto fue un intento "fallido" pero la terminé guardando porque el hombre miró directo a la camara...
I took the next two photos because there was a man fixing his car. The car is old, and it's a real gem!
Las siguientes dos fotos las tomé porque habia un hombre arreglando su carro, el carro es antiguo y es toda una gema!

Now, I'll move on to the next theme: urban landscapes.
I took the next photo because it's one of the only cobblestone streets that our city still preserves. History says that the liberator Simón Bolívar passed through here:
Y ahora pasaré al siguiente tema: Paisajes urbanos:
La siguiente foto la tomé porque es una de las unicas calles empedradas que aun conserva nuestra ciudad, dice la historia que por aquí transitó el libertador Simon Bolivar:
I took the next photo trying to clearly show the sign that says "Bienvenidos a San Cristóbal" (Welcome to San Cristóbal):

I took this photo because it was curious to see the River Neighborhood and Evacuation Route signs in the same place. I'm sure the river has already wreaked havoc in that neighborhood...
Esta foto la tomé porque fue curioso ver el aviso de "barrio el rio" y "ruta de evacuacion" en el mismo lugar, seguro que el rio ya ha hecho estragos en ese barrio...
And now I'll show you a couple of photos of architecture...
The first photo is of a house with construction materials that are increasingly rare to see. This house must be very old:
Y ahora les mostraré un par de fotos de arquitectura...
La primera foto es de una casa con materiales de construcción que cada vez son mas raro de ver, esta casa debe ser muy antigua:
And in another part of the city, I took a photo of this church that was recently restored and looks beautiful. I took several photos looking for its best angle!
Y en otro lado de la ciudad le tomé foto a esta iglesia que fué restaurada recientemente y quedó hermosa, le hice varias fotos buscando su mejor angulo!

Son unas fotografías estupendas en general, pero debo decir que mi atención se centró mucho en los carros, nunca dejará de sorprenderme la gran cantidad de modelos que todavía se pueden apreciarse todavía en las calles de Venezuela. ¡Gran trabajo, amigo mío!
Lo mismo digo mi amigo, aqui podemos encontrar unas verdaderas gemas!
