A day in Dr. Fabian de Jesus Diaz Square

Today I want to share with you part of my last weekend, during which my sister and I decided to visit some spots in our city (Valencia, Venezuela) to try to sell the products she's been making for her new business. Although we weren't successful, that's not the point. During this experience, we discovered a wonderful place in the middle of the bustling city, a place I saw constantly on my way to work, but had never explored or examined in detail. It's the Plaza Fabian de Jesús Díaz, which was renovated in 2022 And I actually stopped frequenting that area around 2021.

This place felt like an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the city, a space where aesthetics, art, sports, and recreational activities in general blend and complement each other perfectly. In the distance, you can see a white structure—a small stage called the Acoustic Shell—and many leafy trees with thick branches that offer protection and coolness. And in the middle of the park stands a beautiful equestrian statue of Simón Bolívar, the liberator of my country 😊.

So my sister and I just lay down on the grass to rest after our long weekend. Luckily, we had cold water with us, which helped us cool off even more. While we were there, admiring every corner of that beautiful square and its surroundings, we got the idea to come back another time for a picnic, maybe with our parents or friends. It's also a great place to escape the daily grind, reading a book in the shade of a tree.

And while we were there I saw in the distance the only place I had visited previously, the Braulio Salazar University Gallery, because there was always an activity for new entrepreneurs called Creative Nest and I always went with the company I worked for, but in reality it is a museum that exhibits the best works of art in the state.

Ah! But of course I can't fail to mention the beautiful artificial lake in which there are some animals like turtles, around there were also some iguanas but I wasn't lucky enough to photograph them, the turtles are also shy but at least I was able to capture one of them that was resting on a rock.

I would definitely love to return to this place for a lovely picnic, or simply to relax with my favorite book. For my sister and me, it was a wonderful experience that helped lift our spirits and recharge our energy after a long weekend. Places like this are like oases of peace; nature helps us connect with our inner selves and see the future with a more optimistic outlook.

Thank you so much for letting me share my weekend experience with you. I send you all a hug and wish you much success and many blessings 😊 🤗.
