A beautiful green lung in the middle of the city

I'm not a professional photographer, but when I travel or visit a beautiful place and find something that inspires and motivates me, I immediately think about capturing it. That's why you won't find anything extraordinary in my photos, with perfect balance of light, shadow, or color intensity. Today, I simply want to share with you at least a little of the peace I felt while in that place. It's Negra Hipólita Park, located in the city of Valencia, in the state of Carabobo, Venezuela. This park is an oasis of peace, a gift of nature amidst the daily hustle and bustle of the city. On one side is the highway, and on the other, the streets and avenues, but the park offers tranquility and beautiful sights like this "bamboo monument." I call it that because I see it as a natural monument that represents hope (perhaps you think I have a vivid imagination, but seeing those strong, green bamboo stalks growing amidst the dry ones made me think of rebirth and hope).

I'll be honest with you, the river doesn't look or smell very good, but it still gives a special touch to the landscape. I also appreciate it for what it once was: a living but silent witness to the many feats of this city. The river was the main defense before bridges began to be built. It used to be abundant, powerful, clean, and pure; it was a source of life.

These curved bridges give the place an idyllic, fairytale-like feel, and also allow you to admire the surroundings from different angles. From up there, I've sometimes been able to see capybaras.

I decide to venture into the forest of the park called "Centennial Forest" and I am amazed by the landscape; there the trees grow closer together, the atmosphere is cooler and more pleasant, there are hardly any people, it's just you with the birds singing and the soothing noise made by the tree branches when the wind rocks them.

There are all kinds of trees there, some big and some truly enormous, but the one that always catches my attention whenever I go to that place is the one that looks like two trees sharing the same trunk, I call it the "Siamese Tree" it is very tall and wide, I love it.

Another wonder I found in the forest was this honeycomb. I don't know if it's from bees or wasps, nor do I know if it's abandoned or if there are still insects inside, but in any case, I didn't want to find out 😄. I just limited myself to immortalizing the honeycomb with my camera. One wrong move and it could unleash catastrophe.

On my way back, I found something curious: some logs intertwined as if they had been delicately and carefully braided by something or someone. Mischievous fairies, perhaps? Haha 😄, I'm just kidding, but it's lovely to discover that nature also has its ways of surprising and amazeing us.

It was a great pleasure for me to be able to share these images with you, I hope you liked them as much as I did
