Chlorophyllum Hortense

Latin NameObservation dateLocation
Chlorophyllum hortenseJuly 23, 2025Khaduli, Ullapara, Bangladesh

I went out for a walk in the village before dawn. I suddenly saw this small umbrella-like creature at the base of a bamboo bush, crossing the dew that had accumulated on my feet — a wild mushroom.

What a perfect artist nature is!

There is such beauty hidden in the soil, tree trunks, shadows, and some unknown moisture that we often don't see with our eyes.

It has white spots all over its body, and the shape of its head is so skillful that it looks like someone has cut it with a knife. The fungal growth spread like a web in the folds of the tree roots next to it — all together it was like a small world.

I don't know if the mushroom was poisonous or not, but I couldn't take my eyes off it for a moment.
