Acridotheres Tristis

Latin NameObservation dateLocation
Acridotheres tristisJuly 21, 2025Khaduli, Ullapara, Bangladesh

I was sitting under a coconut tree in the afternoon when I suddenly saw a shalik bird walking around. It was standing quietly, it looked like it was looking for something.
I slowly approached it and took a picture with my mobile phone. I never thought I would get such a good shot!

I have known these birds since childhood — I have always liked the yellow circles around their eyes.
They get used to humans very easily. Sometimes it feels like we are their neighbors too.
