Dinner At The Laurus Soboras Restaurant
The question of questions for a person who finds himself far from his kitchen table or wants to invite some friends and guests to celebrate something - where to find a replacement for this table? And in the Laurus Soboras, this question is solved with dignity.
Last week we were visiting our relatives in the city of Kaunas. They had a small celebration in one restaurant, Laurus Soboras. I was there for the first time, as I am in this city not so often. It was a perfect opportunity to check it out.
The restaurant itself is located near Kaunas Cathedral, on the second floor. I liked everything - the environment, the food was delicious and filling, the very pleasant and polite staff! And the cocktails we tasted there, exceeded all our expectations!
I also recommend that anyone who likes and loves foie gras should definitely try it here, because it was probably the most delicious goose liver I've tasted in Kaunas! I won't upload a photo because they were gone very quickly, and I didn't have time to take a picture.
And my husband said it was one of the most delicious octopuses he had ever eaten.
And I am very happy that the restaurant Laurus Soboras took note and fulfilled everything I requested.
I'm surprised how many people have the attitude that you can only order what's on the menu at a restaurant and never ask if there's a variation. After all, dinner at a restaurant is about having a great time - why not maximize the pleasure?
I never have a problem asking for a dish to be made to my liking. Or a cocktail mixed with the drinks I like. So, without hesitation, ask for what would make you happy. Life is as pleasant as we make it. You will almost exclusively receive a polite response, whatever it may be. And those occasional rude waiters can ruin a dinner by ordering only from the menu (this has happened even in the best restaurants) - because the key is the relationship with the customer, not what he wants or doesn't want.
It also goes without saying to me that I go to a restaurant or café for my own pleasure, convenience, and business - not to maintain them or to follow other people's rules. I often want water without additives, bread with butter, or oil instead of butter. I don't even think that this is something unacceptable.
A rather unique place, not only for its interior and atmosphere inside, but also for the view from the windows, its location in the city.
Good food can save my day, awaken the curiosity that is so necessary for life. Some people like to eat elaborately. Others like to eat comfortably. But quality combines them both, and it can become the best gift and the best table in the Laurus Soboras restaurant.
It's impossible to deny that when you enter Laurus Soboras, you feel a little magical. Maybe it's just a special attention to detail, one that I don't always manage to maintain in my everyday life. But I really like it: I like to be in places that inspire me to be more attentive to details, that push me to feel elevated, brushing aside everyday worries and everyday life.
I felt a lot of warmth in their menu, which I often lack in fine-dining restaurants. Not only technology, but also coziness. There are few places where you feel relaxed like at home, although at the same time - special.
