Undas 2022: A Visit to the Graves of Departed Ones

The first or second day of November
Are days to remember

Everyone's heart glows like an ember.

The cemetery is where most people go

Not only to visit the departed ones but commemorate too.

Young ones and adults, you can see them there

You will also see candles everywhere.

This is the grave of my grandpa. We miss you, Tang.

This is the Jardin de Caridad, a memorial park

People, candles, balloons - there's a lot

We stayed here until the evening sky grew dark.
It has been a tradition for most of us to visit our departed ones in the cemetery at this time of the year, All Saints' Day or All Souls' Day. Some people go there in the morning to avoid large crowds, while others wait until the afternoon or later time. Some still choose to stay in the evening just to spend a little longer with their loved ones who have passed away already.
People can visit the cemetery any time, anyway. But such a time of the year is still different because November 1 and 2 are when most people have a day off. In our case, we went on November 1, and we visited our grandfather's tomb and some relatives' graves. Many people rush to get home when the sky turns dark. Hence, the slow movement of vehicles.

I remember when I am staying with my friend and they chose to stay over night in the cemetery.
Some really choose to stay overnight po. 😊
Sana ganyan din cemetery sa amin, may malawak na space para makapag stay.
Uu, sa private cemetery kasi yung malaki ang space. Doon naman sa public, dikit-dikit din dito.
