Welcome weekend!
It feels like just yesterday I was posting a photo blog but apparently it has been almost a week now. Last week, I wasn’t with my camera and I missed out on the awesome wildlife around me but this morning, I brought my camera with me.
I went outside with my parents for our morning walk. The other day, I was already scouting some spots to check out the areas and possible places I could meet plenty feathery friends.
Chasing Dawn
During scouting, I also found out that we can see the sunrise and mountain view from it despite being pretty far away. Except, it’s unfortunate that the view is blocked by barbed wires and unfinished buildings.
Despite all that, I was still curious how it would look on some zoom and with my camera. The great thing about the camera I am using right now is that it has a 30x zoom that could reach quite far away. While the quality is a bit pushing but to see an object quite clearly is possible. If you’re old followers of mine, you might be familiar with my moon shoots.
This post is going to be quite a long journey and almost like a mini walk itself.
I started leaving the house at around 4:3- AM. It was still pretty dark and even the sun still hid among crowded buildings. The mountain was also still covered in smog and it wasn’t entirely visible. I could still see the star and the moon was still awake. But we continued walking until it got pretty sunny.
Quiet Joys of Weekend Mornings
Though the sun was slightly hiding, I decided to go back and check out the 3rd floor of the house. From the 3rd floor I could see the whole neighborhood, even the high rise building, the only one in the city with that type of modern boring architecture. At the third floor, I felt very close to the sky and it was such a cool feeling to see the birds flying above me and they flew very low. But that wasn’t the perfect spot for my camera. If I were to have better gear, the 3rd floor would have been amazing.
Fearless Feathers
So,I went to the side patio and also just to the yard of the house to sit down and see birds perching so low. They aren’t really afraid of humans and it’s something beautiful to see. There are some different types of bird but the common ones are this white head with brown body.
Growing up, the neighborhood was a lot more livelier than this but I wasn’t really appreciating any of it. Instead, only after living a heavily urbanized life, I enjoyed seeing greenery and this slow kind of living.
Gardening
Before ending the walk, I helped my mom prepare for our mini garden. We plan on planting chillies, oranges and some vegetables. There are already a few plantations like lemongrass but we needed something more as well as flowers because I really want to see more butterflies up close.
There are many renovations that need to be done but it’s pretty liveable. In the past, the house had this eerie aura and even if you’re paid to live in the house, you probably wouldn’t. These days it’s pretty nice and welcoming. I even loved staying here because of the greenery and just lively mini wildlife around me. While it’s not necessarily too busy, there are also many beautiful cats that are just so adorable.

By the way, the opening is from Honne, crying over you. When I captured this bird, somehow it reminded me of that song. This bird was slowly moving closer to the one on the left but the other bird was flying away when it got closer. Then plenty of them got into a contemplative mood. It’s super interesting that from camera you can capture the expression of them too.

Beautiful birds, I've never seen them before. Thank you for broadening my horizons in ornithology.
It's actually my first few times seeing them wild. Usually I only see dove and such but there are plenty interesting birds around there.

Bird photography is genuinely super fun. To see the details so up-close is amazing. You can really see the expressions and personalities of each bird too.

Right? it's like the closer you have a look, the closer you can see what they're doing and their personality. I am not even sure but I genuinely enjoy doing this and hoping I could go out more and wander. It's not like I do that daily haha and severely needs to these days.
I felt like that with the drone when I had it back in England. That curiosity over nature and getting a look at areas and animals in the wild that you otherwise couldn't. You really get another perspective on life too. Watching those deer almost daily and filming them, it was like I saw their personalities, their individualism and behaviour. It's so fun!
My friend was sitting beside me when I was reading this blog, he really praised the cats. Because he is a lover of cats.
