June's Moon
What would happen if the moon disappears or being destroyed? I recently re-watched Oblivion a movie starring by Tom Cruise. The setting was about the post-living situation after the moon is destroyed. It's intriguing for sure and there are many movies talking about that too.
Last night, I was able to see the moon from inside my work room. It was so bright and compelled me to take some shots of it. By now, I have dozen collection of the moon in different shapes. My favorite is definitely not when its at the brightest.
When its at the brightest, you can't really see its nook and crannies. It's only a beautiful moonlight and at best, you see it like a glowing gold ball on the sky.
A few days ago, the moon was at its brightest and has a hue of redness and people called it strawberry moon. My room isn't definitely the best place to see it but if you happen to travel nearby the beach, this week is some of the best time to do that as you get to see such beautiful moon.
There was one picture from New York that looked so stunning. It has the perfect glow and with a background of the Empire States building. June's Strawberry Moon and it's called strawberry for a reason too.
I was using different types of zoom to capture them and when it's not in its brightest, usually I can see some craters. But in these picture because it was that bright, we could only see a total glowing moon.
I tried using it as my wallpaper and it doesn't look that bad. Though I definitely prefer something that's most softer or pastel-like colors for my screen. I hope I get to explore more soon and share some interesting photo around here.
