Among the Towering Skyscrapers of Hongkong

This time, I'd like to share our story as we explored the streets of Hong Kong. These photos were taken on different days throughout our trip, and each one reminds me of the beautiful moments and unforgettable experiences we had.
We rented an Airbnb apartment on Hong Kong Island because we wanted to stay in the central area for our wedding. It turned out to be the perfect location. Hong Kong has the most skyscrapers of any city in the world, despite having one of the highest demands for housing. It is home to the second most expensive residential property market and is consistently ranked as one of the world's most expensive cities. At the same time, it remains one of the most visited destinations in the world.
For foreign couples planning to get married, Hong Kong is also an excellent choice. That's why we decided to stay for 14 days, making sure we had enough time to experience everything the city had to offer. Looking back, it was absolutely worth it.
I can honestly say that not a single day was wasted. Every day brought something new—from breathtaking skyscrapers and stunning waterfront views to lively bars, delicious food, and countless memorable experiences.
This chapter of my travel series focuses on the places we visited around Hong Kong Island, the Central district, and the bay area connected to Victoria Harbour. With its deep natural waters, Victoria Harbour has played a major role in Hong Kong's growth, serving as an ideal port for large trading ships throughout history.
Hong Kong Island is home to many famous attractions, including The Peak, Ocean Park, the Former Central Police Station Compound, Murray House, and many other historical landmarks and large shopping centres. The island's mountain ranges are also well known for their scenic hiking trails, making it a destination that perfectly combines modern city life with nature and history.

The architecture, the intricate details, and the unique design of each skyscraper were far beyond my imagination. As we walked through the streets, I often found myself looking up in awe at these towering buildings. More than once, I lost sight of my husband because I was so captivated by the massive skyscrapers surrounding us.

What amazed me even more—and something I truly never expected to see in Hong Kong—were the small forests nestled among the towering skyscrapers. It was a beautiful reminder that, despite all the progress and modern development around us, nature was there long before the buildings existed.
Seeing lush greenery surrounded by massive skyscrapers made me appreciate how the city has managed to preserve pockets of nature in the middle of such a busy urban landscape.

This is where Hong Kong Park is located. We sat peacefully by the pond, enjoying the trees, watching the colorful koi fish swim by, and taking in the beautiful surroundings. It was such a relaxing place to pause and simply appreciate nature.
What made it even more amazing was that the park is right in the middle of the city. It is a perfect example of how Hong Kong beautifully blends nature with modern urban life.

This picture was taken at Victoria Harbour. While we were enjoying the view, we spotted a boat carrying large, dancing figures in the middle of the water.
At that moment, I realized that I could never get bored living in Hong Kong. There always seemed to be something interesting happening, and every day brought a new surprise.

You can spot the Sky100 observation tower in the background, just behind the two buildings. How incredible is that? It's such an iconic part of Hong Kong's skyline, and I'd love to share more about it in my next post.

Overall, I would say that our journey in Hong Kong was truly incredible. It was filled with unforgettable moments, mixed emotions, and so many new experiences.
Although Hong Kong is a relatively small place, I was constantly amazed by its towering skyscrapers. Time and time again, I found myself looking up in awe, completely captivated by the magnificent modern buildings that define its skyline.
If someone were to ask me whether I would visit Hong Kong again, my answer would be a definite YES! This time, I would love to return with my whole family and create even more wonderful memories together.
