Boşluğun içinde avlıyor hayallerini, bir olta ile. Dağların arasında kalan uzun ve geniş hiçlik içinde beslenmeyi umuyor.

Ya bulunduğu kıyı bir zaman sonra beklenti yerine ümitsizlik vadederse? Baş edebilecek mi bu duygu ile? Diyelim ki bir zaman geçti ve sonra gözleri bir anlığına karşı kıyılara takıldı. Yepyeni hayaller ile yaşamaya başladı. Daha oltasını çekip toplamadan, şimdiden karşı kıyıda tuttuğu yeni hayaller ile beslenmeye daldı gitti.

Daha olmadan tüketti yine, acele ile, bencilce ve anlamsızca. Henüz farkında bile değil. Oysa vadedilen keyifler, gösterilen samimi gayretlerin meşru çocuklarıdır. Onları sahipsiz bırakırsa, tükettiği nefesler anlamsızlaşacak. Hastalıklı bir varoluş bu.

Her geçen an ile katettiği geçmişinde büyüyor. Kendini ne kadar da büyük hissediyor. Uzun bir yolculuk sonrası ancak karşıya ulaşabilecek aslında, bu denize göre çok ama çok küçük. Farkında mı acaba? Hatta cesur da olması gerekiyor.

Biraz karamsar görünen bir yazı oldu sanırım. Bu fotoğraf bana aittir. 6 Ekim 2023 tarihinde Bartın'a bağlı Amasra ilçesinde çektim. Aslında Amasra çok güzel bir yer, hele kadrajın baktığı açıdan gün batımını izlemek şahane bir tecrübe. Bu ilçede herhangi kötü bir anım da yok. Ancak manzaraya siyah beyaz bakmak ve de nazaran küçük bir insanın av peşinde olduğu bu kare, beni böyle yazmaya sevketti. Balık tutmaya karşı değilim yanlış anlaşılmasın. Sadece zihnimde canlanan metaforları paylaştım. Eğer yolunuz düşmediyse müsait bir zamanda gitmenizi tavsiye ederim. Ziyaret edilesi bir yer. Lakin zamanlamayı iyi yapmak lazım, yaz aylarında yoğunluktan arabaların girişi bile yasaklanıyormuş diye duydum.

He hunts his dreams in the void, with a fishing rod. He hopes to feed in the vast nothingness that lies between the mountains.

What if the shore he is on promises despair instead of expectation after a while? Will he be able to cope with this feeling? Let's say some time passes and then for a moment his eyes linger on the opposite shore. He started to live with brand new dreams. Before he has even reeled in his fishing rod, he is already feeding on the new dreams he has caught on the opposite shore.

He consumed it again before it even happened, in a hurry, selfishly and mindlessly. He doesn't even realize it. Yet the promised pleasures are the legitimate children of sincere efforts. If he leaves them orphaned, the breaths he consumes will become meaningless. This is a sick existence.

With each passing moment he grows in his past. How big he feels. In fact, he will only reach the other side after a long journey, he is very, very small compared to this sea. I wonder if he realizes it. He also needs to be brave.

I guess it was a bit of a pessimistic post. This photograph belongs to me. I took it on October 6, 2023 in Amasra district of Bartın / Türkiye. Actually Amasra is a very beautiful place, especially watching the sunset from the angle of the frame, is a wonderful experience. I don't have any bad memories in this town. However, looking at the landscape in black and white and this shot of a compartively small person in pursuit of prey, prompted me to write this. I am not against fishing, don't get me wrong. I just shared the metaphors that came to my mind. If you haven't been in Amasra, I recommend you to go at a convenient time. It is a place to visit. But you need to time it well, I heard that even the entrance of cars is prohibited due to the density in the summer months.
