¡Sol, Mar y Arena, Donde nos Gusta estar! [Esp/Ing]
Un saludo a los miembros de esta hermosa comunidad de mamis y papis de hive, es un gusto para mí escribirles de nuevo, en esta ocasión quiero compartir con ustedes uno de mis lugares favoritos, donde a mis hijos y a mí nos gusta estar, como lo es la playa. Soy de Venezuela, específicamente de la región Oriental, zona que se caracteriza por tener un clima caluroso y de mucho sol, el cual te invita casi de inmediato a tomar agua de coco, o una limonada bien fría, para calmar la sed. En esta tierra de gracia, contamos con muchas playas hermosas a lo largo de toda la costa, por lo que podemos disfrutar del mar, la arena y el sol cuando lo deseemos.
En esta época del año celebramos la Semana Santa, y que mejor lugar para el esparcimiento de la familia, que visitar las playas del Oriente Venezolano. A mis hijos le fascina ir a la playa, desde pequeñitos los he llevado a varias de ellas; y hasta le he celebrado sus cumpleaños en casas que alquilan por temporada, se divierten mucho y la pasamos de maravilla.
En la playa, tienen la oportunidad de disfrutar de un buen baño en el mar y también jugar con sus juguetes, se distraen mucho en la arena con su tobito, rastrillo y palita; en ocasiones vamos con sus primos, o comparten con otros niños, ya que son muy sociables y hacen amiguitos fácilmente; su papá y yo le llevamos la pelota de voleibol también para hacer ejercicios mientras jugamos. A ellos les hace bien respirar el aire de la playa, les aleja las gripes, y tomar el sol a las primeras horas de la mañana les crea defensas en su organismo, también se les abre mucho el apetito y se divierten un montón.
Vivimos cerca de una playa llamada San Luis, la cual es la principal de la ciudad de Cumaná, capital del Estado Sucre. Esta playa ha sido uno de los lugares favoritos por tres generaciones en mi familia, ya que mis abuelos maternos acostumbraban hacer sancocho de pescado los domingos para mi madre y mis tíos, cuando estaban pequeños, luego mis padres nos llevaban a mi hermana y a mí a cada vez que podían a darnos un baño en esta playa.
Tengo muchos recuerdos gratos de estas visitas a la playa San Luis cuando iba de pequeña, allí mi papá me enseñó a nadar, pasaba horas con mis primos recogiendo chipichipis y conchas marinas, también se me viene a la memoria unas ricas torrejas con azúcar que vendía una señora gordita y muy alegre, que solía caminar por la orilla de la playa, ofreciéndolas en una bandeja enorme, que llevaba con mucha agilidad en su cabeza, al verla mis primos y yo salíamos corriendo a comprarle, nos comíamos dos cada uno, en menos de cinco minutos ja, ja, ja realmente eran deliciosas!.
Ya han pasado varias décadas, y ahora soy yo quien lleva a mis hijos a la Playa San Luis, por lo esta sigue siendo la favorita para mí también, me gusta mucho esta playa porque el agua es limpia, clara y tiene un oleaje moderado, es extensa, por lo que tienes garantizado siempre un lugar para sentarte con tú familiares a disfrutar del balneario, a pesar de lo congestionada que pueda estar, hay muchas palmeras que te brindan la sombra necesaria para cubrirte del resplandor del sol, así como disfrutar de una hermosa vista hacia la Península de Araya, que a lo lejos se divisa entre el azul del mar y del cielo que brilla con un sol resplandeciente, haciendo de esta playa un lugar único y paradisiaco.
Recuerdo que la primera vez que lleve a mi hijo mayor a la playa, estaba renuente a pisar la arena descalzo, sentía miedo y no quería bajar de mis brazos, por lo que con paciencia lo fui llevando hasta abajo, para que sintiera primero con sus manitos la textura de la arena, y luego fue que mostró confianza de pisarla, ya después corría sin temor y se sentó a jugar en la arena feliz.
Con mi otro hijo fue algo parecido, pero esta ocasión el problema fue meternos en el mar, con él me senté por casi una hora en la orilla para que se mojara los piecitos primero y fuera agarrando confianza, él sentía el agua como lo iba mojando poco a poco cada vez que venía la ola, que al final termine bañándolo ahí en la orilla, ya que ahí era donde se sentía cómodo. Una de las cosas que yo como madre procuro es no presionar a mis hijos en nada, me gusta que ellos se sientan bien haciendo las cosas que le agradan, así como darles el tiempo que necesiten para familiarizarse con algo nuevo para ellos.
Visitar el mar nos permite liberarnos del estrés acumulado, descansar en una hamaca mientras escuchas el sonido de las olas, te permite sentir paz y desconectarte del mundo por unas horas, sin mencionar el tiempo de calidad que pasas con tus familiares. Espero que tengan la oportunidad de llevar a sus hijos a la playa y que sea del disfrute de todos. Recuerden usar un protector solar y tomar mucha agua, hasta una nueva oportunidad. I am from Venezuela, specifically from the Eastern region, an area that is characterized by a hot and sunny weather, which invites you almost immediately to drink coconut water or a cold lemonade to quench your thirst. In this land of grace, we have many beautiful beaches along the coast, so we can enjoy the sea, sand and sun whenever we want.
During this time of the year we celebrate Easter, and what better place for family recreation, than visiting the beaches of Eastern Venezuela. My children love going to the beach, since they were little I have taken them to several of them; and I have even celebrated their birthdays in houses that are rented for the season, they have a lot of fun and we have a wonderful time
At the beach, they have the opportunity to enjoy a good bath in the sea and also playing with their toys, they are very entertained on the sand with their ankle, rake and shovel; sometimes we go with their cousins, or they share with other children, as they are very sociable and make friends easily; their dad and I also take the volleyball to exercise while we play. It is good for them to breathe the beach air, it keeps the flu away, and sunbathing in the early morning hours creates defenses in their organism, they liked to eat a lot at the beach, and they have fun.
We live near a beach called San Luis, which is the main beach in the city of Cumaná, capital of Sucre State. This beach has been one of the favorite places for three generations in my family, since my maternal grandparents used to make fish soup on Sundays for my mother and my uncles, when they were little; later my parents took my sister and me every time they could to take a bath in this beach.
I have many pleasant memories of these visits to the San Luis beach when I was little, there my dad taught me how to swim, I used to spend hours with my cousins collecting “chipichipis” and seashells, I also remember some delicious torrejas with sugar sold by a chubby and very cheerful lady, who used to walk along the shore of the beach, offering them on a huge tray, that she carried with great agility on her head, when my cousins and I saw her we ran out to buy torrejas, we ate two each in less than five minutes ha, ha, ha, ha, they were really delicious!.
Several decades have passed, and now it is me who takes my children to San Luis Beach, and this is still the favorite for me too, I really like this beach because the water is clean, clear and has a moderate swell; it is extensive, so you are always guaranteed a place to sit with your family to enjoy the beach, Despite how congested it may be, there are many palm trees that provide the necessary shade to cover you from the glare of the sun, as well as enjoy a beautiful view of the Araya Peninsula, which in the distance can be seen between the blue sea and the sky that shines with a bright sun, making this beach a unique and heavenly place.
I remenber, that the first time I took my oldest son to the beach, he was reluctant to step on the sand barefoot, he was afraid and did not want to get out of my arms, so I patiently took him down, so he could feel the texture of the sand first with his little hands, and then he felt confident to step on it, and then he ran without fear and sat down to play in the sand happily.
With my other son it was something similar, but this time the problem was to get into the sea, with him, I sat down for almost an hour on the shore so that he could get his feet wet first and gain confidence, he felt the water wetting him little by little every time the wave came, in the end I ended up swimming him there on the shore, since there was where he felt comfortable. One of the things that I try to do as a mother is not to pressure my children in anything, I like them to feel good doing the things they like, as well as giving them the time they need to familiarize themselves with something new to them.
Visiting the sea allows us to free ourselves from accumulated stress; relaxing in a hammock while listening to the sound of the waves, allows you to feel peace and disconnect from the world for a few hours, not to mention the quality time you spend with your relatives.
