Looking for old buildings 📸 - En la búsqueda de edificios viejos

Since I arrived to the city of Valencia, I have enjoyed a lot touring during the afternoon to see the sunset and make some shots 📸 I love the location where I am living as it is a quiet area, but by walking a small stretch, you can reach one of the busiest areas of the city, the main avenue, which is named "Avenida Bolivar" in honor of the liberator of Venezuela.

Being the main avenue, it also has a lot of years and history, in fact, most of the buildings on it are quite vintage and I had mentioned before that I love buildings with history. In this area you can find all kinds of stores, restaurants, government buildings where you can do paperwork and so on, but it still feels pretty quiet (at least in the afternoons haha). As the sun goes down, peace invades the city, you can see the sunset through the mountains and this is a sublime moment as everything is painted with its color palette of orange tones.

Something that characterizes the big cities of Venezuela, is that you can still find these telephone boxes very much in the style of the late twentieth century and early twenty-first century; yes friends, although we feel that it has not been so long since that time when we used these phones, it's been more than 20 years, now only remained as pieces of decoration that transport us to those times. Many have removed them, but I like them because they give the city a retro look.

I always go out in search of striking buildings, we are also surrounded by many art sculptures, I have not managed to photograph them because their locations are a bit difficult to photograph, but I will take it as a pending task for future tours. In this last walk I photographed this building that is quite old, I like to see how each tenant gives his personal touch to his window, it is very colorful, very tropical hahaha there was even a person who was captured in the photograph, can you see it?

I always go for symmetrical shots, that's why I like buildings with lots of windows. This one in particular looks to me like it might be from the 80's, probably a few decades earlier, what do you think?

I love this area of the city because being one of the oldest areas, I can delight myself with its architecture. There are also some colonial houses and buildings that I will show you soon, Venezuela was a country colonized by the Spanish crown so there is some interesting architecture to see, and the best thing is that everything has a great history behind it. See you in the comments, virtual hug to all ❤️

Cool pictures, there is just something about things aging that look cool, vintage phone box, vintage tv, radio and eventually everything that ages becomes attractive to humans of certain age, I guess its because of memories, the brain materialize memories when attach to this things, thx for sharing @lunaticanto

It is so, even corporations use that nostalgia in their marketing strategies, we can see that every 30 years or so many of the things we used in our childhood come back. I love everything old hahaha it's an amazing feeling to know that you are seeing something that has many stories to tell, I wish the buildings could talk 🤭

Thanks to you for commenting ❤️

Lindas fotos. Me encantó el cielo. Esa tonalidad me trasmite mucho silencio.
😉☕

Nice pictures. I loved the sky. That tonality transmits me a lot of silence. The building is 12 floors? Well that's what I counted, it looks like an old shop window. I think you convey a feeling in your post. I think the city is too silent in its introspection. 😉☕

I think if it has 12 floors or so, I'm sure there must be some empty apartments due to migration. The city had some calmer times, but little by little it has regained its life. Thanks for commenting ❤️

You hace to go to the center of Valencia, take photos of Bolivar Square, the Cathedral of Valencia, the Center for Historical, Cultural and Heritage interpretation of the University of Carabobo and the Municipal Theater. There the story comes to life

It is quite an interesting building, its symmetrical shape makes it eye-catching and I like the visual effect provided by the color and the multiple design of its windows. It would be interesting to know a little more about its structure. Here the buildings are not so tall, at least the older ones, I think the engineers were quite protected and I understand them being a seismic zone. One of the cities that I would like to know in more detail is Valencia. Excellent photos. Greetings.

I marvel more and more at this city. This building is tall, but there are others much taller, I will investigate which would be the tallest in the city to take some pictures. Greetings friend, thanks for commenting ❤️

Greetings @lunaticanto. Yeah, it's not easy to search for historic architecture unless they've been specified as heritage structures. And because of your passion for these interesting relics, you'll seldom find them in small details from unexpected places. The beautiful city of Valencia is indeed a place where the new exists with the old. Fascinating! 😊👍

there was even a person who was captured in the photograph, can you see it?

Now, let me guess. Is that person wearing a white shirt and peeping out the window? haha 😆

Hahaha you guessed it! That person was looking at me while taking the picture, maybe he was posing for me 😂

Thanks for your comment, there are definitely some very nice relics to photograph around here 🙌

If we are willing to explore honestly, we can find unique architectural elements in every building. Traditional and ancient features can be seen especially in buildings that are decades old. The old look, different architectural features, symmetrical shapes, etc. of the large storied building you found are captivating.

I'm glad you liked the pictures of the building. Around this area there are so many, some older than others, there are streets I haven't been to yet, but I'm going to include them in my weekly exploration walk. Thanks for your comment ❤️
