Glorious Views Shelf Lake Colorado

The trail to Shelf Lake winds steeply through shadowed pine forests, across bright meadows bursting with wildflowers, and over rocky alpine terrain, before unveiling the breathtaking sight of the deep blue lake nestled among Colorado’s jagged peaks and soaring skies.

You may recall, we had met some new friends in Utah has we were exploring the Kanab region of Utah. Well we had an opportunity to visit them in their lovely adopted state of Colorado. They were terrific hosts and hiking guides. They led us on this hike up to Shelf Lake. It is an 8 mile hike up to 12,000 ft. and as you can see the final destination is just amazing.
