Today I come to share with you a publication about American cars, also called in popular slang "Almendrones"

You go out to walk through the streets of Havana and you see them everywhere. Many wonder how it is that even in the 21st century they still circulate on our streets and almost all with their original stamp and seal.
We would say that they are eternal.

Since the decades of the 40s and 50s and some a little earlier, in the last century, they began to enter the country until today we see them on the streets alongside modern cars, including electric ones and many other means of transportation.

In many of them, their interiors, parts and engines have been transformed or changed, but the image is the same, with their logos and distinctive details of the different brands: Chevrolet, Pontiac, DeSoto, Plymouth, etc.

"Rent a fantasy" here are many of those cars dedicated primarily to tourism, although they are also used at weddings to transport brides, especially the open ones, with their bright, striking colors and classic styles, they are the delight of those who visit the island.

Many of them are used by their owners in urban transportation as ordinary taxis. These are more appreciated over the years, but they are there as proof of their eternity and they have their exit points and maintain a fixed route.

We see it with its stickers on the rear windows or on its doors, either highlighting the brand or another phrase that its owners want to highlight.

In general, they are classic cars, with beautiful details or simply the fact that they are still providing services on our streets, is proof that beauty is eternal.They even have a museum, which is located in the Historic Center of the City area, in Old Havana.

Perhaps after having seen the images, many who have not visited Cuba can get an idea of ​​how those old cars maintain their vitality today and, above all, those that retain their original exterior appearance also beautify the environment.

Desde las décadas de los años 40 y 50 y algunos un poco antes, del siglo pasado, que comenzaron a entrar al país hasta la actualidad lo vemos en calles junto a los autos modernos, incluyendo los eléctricos y muchos otros medios de transporte.

En muchos de ellos sus interiores, sus piezas y motores han sido transformados o cambiados, pero la imagen es la misma, con sus logos y detalles distintivos de las diferentes marcas: Chevrolet, Pontiac, DeSoto, Plymouth, etc

"Rentar una fantasía" aquí se agrupan muchos de esos autos dedicados al turismo fundamentalmente, aunque también se usan en las bodas para el transporte de las novias, sobre todo los descapotados, con sus colores brillantes, llamativos y sus estilos clásicos, son las delicias de los que visitan la isla.

Muchos de ellos son usados por sus dueños en la transportación urbana como taxis ordinarios, en estos se aprecian más el transcurso de los años, pero están ahí como prueba de su eternidad, cubren diferentes vías urbanas, teniendo sus piqueras de salida y manteniendo un recorrido fijo.

Lo vemos con sus pegatinas en los cristales del fondo o en sus puertas, ya sea destacando la marca u otra frase que su propietarios quieran destacar.

De forma general son autos clásicos, con hermosos detalles o simplemente el hecho de que aún se mantenga prestando servicios en nuestras calles, es una prueba de que lo bello es eterno. Incluso tienen hasta un museo, el cual se encuentra en la zona del Casco Histórico de Ciudad, en La Habana Vieja.

Quizás después de haber visto las imágenes, muchos que no han visitado a Cuba, puedan hacerse una idea de como esos coches antiguos, mantienen su vitalidad en la actualidad y sobre todo, aquellos que conservan su aspecto exterior original, también embellecen el entorno.
