The Alley of Traditions/El Callejón de las Tradiciones. (English/Español)

Hello Hivers, my greetings to all the members of this great Community.
As I told you in my last publication, today I finish showing you the images taken during the visit to the province of Matanzas last January.

These today are specifically from the Callejón de las Tradiciones, a community project where its promoters, in addition to doing social activities for the community benefit, also promote art and above all, they work to delight the entire population of the place and the visitors, the folkloric and traditional dances dedicated to the orisha deities, those who accompanied the men brought from Africa in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries and later syncretized with the deities of their enslaved people, the Spanish, and have survived to this day as a tangible testimony of those traditions.

In the images we see the cultural activities where singing is done to the sound of drums, claves, gyros and other instruments while the girls dance, wearing clothes of the representative color of each of the orisiha deities.

It was a nice show, where we all enjoyed watching the evolutions of the dancers and the singing of the accompanying group.

El Callejón de las Tradiciones

Hola Hivers, mis saludos para todos los miembros de esta grandiosa Comunidad.
Como les dije en mi última publicación, hoy termino de mostrarles las imágenes tomadas durante la visita la provincia de Matanzas el pasado mes de enero.
Estas de hoy son específicamente del Callejón de las Tradiciones, un proyecto comunitario donde sus promotores, además de hacer actividades sociales para el beneficio comunitario, también potencia el arte y sobre todo, trabajan para deleitar a toda la población del lugar y a los visitantes, los bailes folclóricos y tradicionales dedicados a las deidades orishas, esas que acompañaron a los hombres traídos de África en los siglos XVI, XVII y XVIII y después se sincretizaron con las deidades de sus esclavizados, los españoles y han llegado hasta nuestro días como testimonio tangible de esas tradiciones.

En las imágenes vemos las actividades culturales donde se canta al son de los tambores, claves, giros y otros instrumentos mientras las muchachas bailan, usando ropas del color representativo de cada una de las deidades orisihas.

Fue un lindo espectáculo, donde todos disfrutamos viendo las evoluciones de las bailadoras y del canto del grupo acompañante.
