Exit of the Town Hall/Salida del Cabildo. (English/Español)

Hello Hivers from this beautiful community of Photography Lovers. Today I stop by to say hello and present a new publication.
A tradition in Havana is the departure of the Cabildo on January 6, where they take a tour of some of the streets of Old Havana. This custom dates back to colonial times, when Spanish slaveholders allowed slaves to dance and play the music of their ancestors that day.

And this year was no exception. I had the opportunity to get there, also walk through the streets of Old Havana, camera in hand and take photos in that area while I went to the place where the Cabildo would start: The Plaza de San Francisco de Asis.

Already there, I saw the different groups that would come out to remember and celebrate this tradition.

There were children's dance groups, the group that dances on stilts, percussionists with their drums, trumpet players, in short various musicians who, like every year, go out with the Cabildo of Havana.

And to the sound of music, songs, playing of drums and other instruments
They delight us in the streets at the same time that they show us that a tradition that comes from our ancestors is kept alive

Salida del Cabildo.

Hola Hivers de esta linda comunidad de Amantes de la Fotografía. Hoy paso por aquí para saludarlos y presentarles una nueva publicación.
Una tradición en la Habana es la salida del Cabildo el 6 de enero, donde hacen un recorrido por algunas de las calles de La Habana Vieja. Esta costumbre data de la época de la colonia, cuando los esclavistas españoles le permitían a los esclavos, ese día bailar y tocar la música de sus ancestros.

Y este año no fue una excepción. Tuve la oportunidad de llegarme hasta allí, recorrer también calles de la Habana Vieja, cámara en mano y tomar fotos en esa zona mientras me dirigía al lugar de donde saldría el Cabildo: La Plaza de San Francisco de Asis.

Ya allí, vi los diferentes grupos que saldrían para rememorar y festejar esta tradición.

Estaban grupos danzarios infantiles, el grupo que baila sobre zancos, percusionistas con sus tambores, trompetista, en fin músicos diversos que como todos los años salen con el Cabildo de la Habana.

Y al son de música, cantos, toque de tambores y otros instrumentos
Nos deleitan por las calles al mismo tiempo que nos demuestran que se mantiene viva una tradición que viene de nuestros ancestros.
