Hello Hivers! My greetings to everyone in this great black and white photography community.

Once again I come to show you this publication about images taken in the Las Mercedes Church in Havana.

I was visiting it on the day that the Feast of the Virgin was celebrated, last September.

It is emotional to see all the believers and devotees of the Virgin go to the church to pay their respects and gratitude, in addition to bringing her flowers and candles as offering

So I had the opportunity to take several photos and now I show you some of them.

The white clothes that people wear are very striking, since white is the representative color of the Virgin of Las Mercedes.

There are many who come, approach the altar and pray to the Virgin, at the same time they make their requests and offer promises.

It is common to see in these celebrations people of all ages who with great faith prostrate themselves at the feet of the Virgin, before her altar or raise their hands and lit candles towards her image.

Every believer, every devotee in a particular way deep in their hearts celebrates their festival and shows their deepest respect.

Hola Hivers! Mi saludos para todos en esta grandiosa Comunidad de fotografía en blanco y negro.
Nuevamente me acerco para mostrarles esta publicación sobre imágenes tomadas en la Iglesias de Las Mercedes en La Habana.
Estuve visitándola el día que se celebraba la Festividad de la Virgen, en el pasado mes de septiembre.

Es emotivo ver a todos los creyentes y devotos de la Virgen acudir a la iglesia para rendirle sus respetos y agradecimiento, además de llevarle flores y velas como ofrendas.

Entonces tuve oportunidad de tomar varias fotos y ahora les muestro algunas de ellas.

Muy llamativas las vestimentas blancas que usan las personas, ya que el blanco es color representativo de la Virgen de Las Mercedes.

Son muchos los que acuden, se acercan al altar y le rezan a la Virgen, a la vez hacen sus peticiones y ofrecen promesas.

Es común ver en esas celebración personas de todas las edades que con gran fe se postran a los pies de la Virgen, ante su altar o levantan hacia su imagen manos y velas encendidas.

Cada creyente, cada devotos de forma particular más profundo de sus corazones celebran su fiesta y muestran su más profundo respeto.
