A visit to the City of Trinidad/Una visita a la Ciudad de Trinidad (English/Español)

Hello Hivers, greeting you, I present myself today to Photography Lovers with a new publication.
Some time ago I had the opportunity to visit the city of Trinidad with very close family members. And it was, without a doubt, a nice experience.

We were there for 3 days and we really enjoyed it a lot.

Trinidad is located in the central region of Cuba as many know, in the province of Sancti Spíritus. It is considered, like the Historic Center of Old Havana, a World Heritage Site.

Trinidad is a place highly visited by tourists, both national and international. Its oldest part preserves heritage elements, which take us back to colonial times.

Many buildings have been restored where the originality of their constructions has been maintained.

We were able to visit its beaches, Ancón is one of them, the Valle de los Ingenios, there we appreciated spectacular landscapes. The Iznaga Tower, identifying seal in the region.

We walked through cobblestone streets, where you can also see houses that maintain the original constructions of the once town.

We visited a locomotive that remains as a relic, which traveled through the valley and is linked to sugar production. It still functioned, but as a tourist attraction, at least at the time I visited the region.

And another aspect that I can highlight about that visit is the people, very sociable, attached to their customs like the hat weaver, who in addition to being a means of subsistence, keeps alive a tradition that they show visitors with pride.

The peasants enjoy their leisure time sharing with each other and other younger people are attracted to the sea.

I assure you that it is a place worth visiting to enjoy its history and the mix of tradition and modernity.

That is why I have left you in this publication images of those moments, which I remember with nostalgia and satisfaction and I wish to share with you.

Hola Hivers, saludándolos, me presento hoy ante los amantes de la Fotografía con una nueva publicación.
Hace algún tiempo tuve la oportunidad de visitar la ciudad de Trinidad junto a familiares muy allegados. Y fue, sin dudas, una linda experiencia. Estuvimos 3 días por allá y realmente lo disfrutamos mucho.
Trinidad se encuentra en la región central de Cuba como muchos saben, en la provincia de Sancti Spíritus. Está considerada, al igual que el Casco Histórico de la Habana Vieja, Patrimonio de la Humanidad.
Trinidad es un lugar muy visitado por los turistas, tanto nacionales como internacionales . Su parte más antigua, conserva elementos patrimoniales, que nos remontan a la época de la colonia. En ella se han restaurado muchas edificaciones donde se han mantenido la originalidad de sus construcciones.
Pudimos visitar sus playas, Ancón es una de ellas, el Valle de los Ingenios, allí apreciamos paisajes espectaculares. La Torre Iznaga, sello identificativo en la región.
Recorrimos calles adoquinadas, donde se ven también casas que mantienen las construcciones originales de la otrora villa. Visitamos una locomotora que se mantiene como reliquia, la cual recorría el valle y se vinculada a la producción de azúcar. Todavía funcionaba, pero como atracción turística, al menos en la época que visité la región.

Y otro aspecto que puedo destacar de esa visita, es la gente, muy sociable, apegada a sus costumbres como la tejedora de sombreros, que además de ser un medio de subsistencia, mantiene viva una tradición que muestra a los visitantes con orgullo.
Los campesinos disfrutan sus ratos de ocios compartiendo entre ellos y a otros más jóvenes los atraen el mar.

Les aseguro que es un lugar digno de ser visitado para disfrutar su historia y la mezcla tradición y modernidad.
Por eso les he dejado en esta publicación imágenes de esos momentos, los cuales recuerdo con nostalgia y satisfacción y deseo compartir con ustedes.
