A pleasant visit to Matanzas/Una agradable visita a Matanzas. (English/Español)

I hope everyone is well enjoying the publications of this magnificent community.
Here I come today to show you mine.
At the beginning of this year I had the pleasant opportunity to visit Matanzas with other colleagues as part of the culmination of an event in which we had the pleasure of participating.
I particularly felt very motivated, because despite having visited that Cuban province on multiple occasions, it was the first time they visited the San Severino Castle, an old fortress built in colonial times to defend the city from attacks by privateers and pirates, as were others at the time, such as Castillo del Morro, La Cabaña, etc., in the city of Havana.
Currently the San Severino Castle is the Museum dedicated to the people who were enslaved in Cuba.
From our arrival we were able to observe beautiful landscapes and the architecture of the place.
This visit included other places in the Province that I was also visiting for the first time.
We were in Museums, in The Church of Monserrate and we went up to its viewpoint and we saw the beauty of the Yumury Valley.
We shared experiences with musicians from the Casa de Alfredo Calvo and with the Afroatenas Community Project and of course we walked and photographed its streets.
This publication will be complemented by the next one, where I will show you the visit to the Callejón de las Tradiciones, one of the Community projects where there were many Cuban folklore dances.

Una agradable visita a Matanzas
Hola Hivers.
Espero todos estén bien disfrutando de las publicaciones de esta magnífica comunidad.
Aquí vengo hoy a mostrarles la mía.
A inicio de este año tuve la agradable oportunidad de realizar una visita a Matanzas con otros colegas como parte de la culminación de un evento en el que tuvimos la dicha de participar.
Yo particularmente me sentí muy motivada, porque a pesar de haber visitado esa provincia cubana en múltiples ocasiones, era la primera vez que visitaban el Castillo de San Severino, antigua fortaleza hechas en la época colonial para defender la ciudad de ataques de corsarios y piratas, como lo fueron en su momento otras como el Castillo del Morro, La Cabaña etc, en La ciudad de La Habana.
Actualmente el Castillo de San Severino es el Museo dedicado a las personas que fueron esclavizados en Cuba. Desde nuestra llegada pudimos observar bellos paisajes y la arquitectura del lugar.
Esta visita incluyó otros lugares de la Provincia y que yo visitaban, también, por primera vez.
Estuvimos en Museos, en La Iglesia de Monserrate y subimos a su mirador y vimos la belleza del Valle de Yumury.
Compartimos experiencias con músicos de la Casa de Alfredo Calvo y con el Proyecto Comunitario Afroatenas y por supuesto caminamos y fotográfiamos sus calles.
Esta publicación se complementará con la próxima, donde les mostraré la visita al Callejón de las Tradiciones uno de los proyectos Comunitario donde hubo muchos bailes del folklore cubano.
