WELCOME TO LISBON (D/ENG/ESP) - A new entry for Photography Lovers

Nun haben meine Freundin und ich auf unserer Reise eine weitere portugisische Stadt geniessen können. Und zwar hat uns unser Weg in die Hauptstadt Lissabon (Portugal) geführt.

Now my girlfriend and I have been able to enjoy another Portuguese city on our trip. Namely, our way led us to the capital Lisbon (Portugal).

Ahora mi novia y yo hemos podido disfrutar de otra ciudad portuguesa en nuestro viaje. En concreto, nuestro camino nos llevó a la capital, Lisboa (Portugal).

Um uns einen ersten Überblick über die kleine Grossstadt zu verschaffen, haben wir einen der sieben Hügel, über die sie erbaut wurde, erklommen. Von den Mauern der alten Burg Castelo de Sâo Jorge hat man einen wunderbaren Ausblick, beinahe über die ganzem Stadt. Auch war der erste Tag unseres Aufenthaltes wettertechnisch der dankbarste und so konnten wir auf dem höchsten Punkt der Stadt einen wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang genießen.

To get a first overview of the small city, we climbed one of the seven hills over which it was built. From the walls of the old castle Castelo de Sâo Jorge you have a wonderful view, almost over the whole city. The first day of our stay was also the best day in terms of weather and we were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset at the highest point of the city.

Para obtener una primera visión general de la pequeña ciudad, subimos a una de las siete colinas sobre las que se construyó. Desde las murallas del antiguo castillo Castelo de Sâo Jorge se tiene una vista maravillosa, casi sobre toda la ciudad. El primer día de nuestra estancia fue también el mejor en cuanto al tiempo, así que pudimos disfrutar de una hermosa puesta de sol en el punto más alto de la ciudad.

Von fast überall sichtbar thront die Brücke "Ponte de 25 Abril" über dem Hafen vom Lissabon. Sie wurde in den 1960er Jahren erbaut und verbindet Lissabon mit den Vororten auf der anderen Seite des Flusses Tajo. Über sie führt eine 4-spurige Strasse und darunter ein Deck für Züge.

Visible from almost everywhere, the bridge "Ponte de 25 Abril" towers over the port of Lisbon. It was built in the 1960s and connects Lisbon with the suburbs on the other side of the River Tajo. A 4-lane road runs over it and a deck for trains underneath.

Visible desde casi todas partes, el puente del 25 de abril se alza sobre el puerto de Lisboa. Se construyó en la década de 1960 y conecta Lisboa con los suburbios del otro lado del río Tajo. Una carretera de 4 carriles pasa por encima y una plataforma para los trenes por debajo.

Die Brücke "Vasco de Gama" wurde in den 1990er Jahren anlässlich der Expo 1998 am Rande des Parkes der Nationen erbaut. Mit 17 Kilometer ist sie die längste Brücke Europas und entlastet mit einer 6-spurigen Autobahn die Brücke "Ponte de 25 Abril" sowie den Verkehr in der Lissabonner Innenstadt.

The bridge "Vasco de Gama" was built in the 1990s on the occasion of the Expo 1998 at the edge of the Park of Nations. At 17 kilometres, it is the longest bridge in Europe and relieves the "Ponte de 25 Abril" bridge and the traffic in Lisbon's city centre with a 6-lane motorway.

El puente "Vasco de Gama" se construyó en los años 90 con motivo de la Expo 1998 en el borde del Parque de las Naciones. Con 17 kilómetros, es el puente más largo de Europa y alivia el puente del 25 de abril y el tráfico del centro de Lisboa con una autopista de 6 carriles.

Neben viel historischer Architektur findet man in Lissabon auch moderne Gebäude. Da ich während meines Aufenthaltes in Lissabon mit meiner Kamera durch den Park der Nationen gestreift bin und dabei dutzende Fotos moderner Architektur entstanden sind, widme ich dieser aber seperate Posts.

Besides a lot of historical architecture, Lisbon also has modern buildings. During my stay in Lisbon, I took my camera through the Park of Nations and took dozens of photos of modern architecture, so I'm dedicating separate posts to them.

Además de una gran cantidad de arquitectura histórica, también puede encontrar edificios modernos en Lisboa. Durante mi estancia en Lisboa, llevé mi cámara por el Parque de las Naciones y tomé decenas de fotos de arquitectura moderna, por lo que les dedicaré posts separados.

In Lissabon sind wir viel mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel wie Bus, Metro und historische Trams gereist. Um uns in dessen Netz zu orientieren, haben wir die App Moovit genutzt. Zwar haben die Abfahrtszeiten nicht immer gestimmt, doch fanden wir damit immer unseren Weg zum Ziel. Dabei haben wir viel den Bahnhof und Knotenpunkt Oriente gekreuzt (Bild mit Rolltreppe), welcher vom spanisch-schweizerischen Stararchitekten Santiago Calatrava entworfen, welchen ich bereits in einem Post über Bilbao (Spanien) erwähnt habe.

In Lisbon, we travelled a lot by public transport such as bus, metro and historic trams. To find our way around the network, we used the app Moovit. Although the departure times were not always correct, we always found our way to our destination. We crossed the Oriente station and junction a lot (picture with escalator), which was designed by the Spanish-Swiss star architect Santiago Calatrava, whom I already mentioned in a post about Bilbao (Spain).

En Lisboa, viajamos mucho en transporte público, como el autobús, el metro y los tranvías históricos. Para orientarnos en la red, utilizamos la aplicación Moovit. Aunque los horarios de salida no siempre eran correctos, siempre encontrábamos el camino a nuestro destino. Atravesamos la estación y el cruce de Oriente (foto con escalera mecánica), que fue diseñado por el arquitecto estrella hispano-suizo Santiago Calatrava, al que ya mencioné en un post sobre Bilbao (España).

Viel Zeit haben wir mit dem Überqueren von historischen Plätzen und dem Durchstreifen der schmalen Gassen verbracht. Und dann und wann haben wir uns in ein Café oder auf eine Bank gesetzt und dem Leben in Lissabon zu geschaut.

We spent a lot of time crossing historic squares and wandering the narrow streets. And now and then we sat down in a café or on a bench and watched life in Lisbon.

Pasamos mucho tiempo cruzando plazas históricas y recorriendo las estrechas calles. Y de vez en cuando nos sentamos en un café o en un banco y observamos la vida en Lisboa.

Auch kulinarisch hat Lissabon einiges zu bieten. Hier im Bild ist eine alte Markthalle, die zu einem modernen Foodcorner umgebaut wurde.

Lisbon also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. Here in the picture is an old market hall that has been converted into a modern food corner.

Lisboa también tiene mucho que ofrecer en cuanto a gastronomía. En la foto se ve una antigua sala de mercado convertida en un moderno rincón de comida.

Nicht nur riesige Kreuzfahrtschiffe, sondern auch grosse Frachtschiffe sind ständige Gäste des Hafens von Lissabon. Diese drei Lastenkräne ragten unweit der Mündung des Flusses Tajos in den Atlantik in den Himmel, und haben mich dabei an Giraffen erinnert, welche sich an einer Wasserstelle zum täglichen Austausch getroffen haben.

Not only huge cruise ships, but also large cargo ships are permanent guests of the port of Lisbon. These three cargo cranes rose into the sky not far from the mouth of the River Tajos into the Atlantic, reminding me of giraffes meeting at a watering hole for their daily exchange.

No sólo los enormes cruceros, sino también los grandes cargueros son huéspedes permanentes del puerto de Lisboa. Estas tres grúas de carga se alzaron en el cielo no lejos de la desembocadura del río Tejos en el Atlántico, recordándome a las jirafas que se reúnen en un abrevadero para su intercambio diario.

Natürlich gibt es auch viel Streetart und Graffitis in Lissabon. Doch dieses hat mich am meisten angesprochen. Ganz schlicht stand an eine weiße Wand geschrieben "alles ist Politik". Denn für mich ist Politik nicht Sache von Politiker, Präsidenten und Staaten, sondern vielmehr von UNS. So wie die deutsche Band Tocotronic eines ihrer Alben benannten: Sich Gedanken darüber machen "Wie WIR leben wollen".

Die Bilder habe ich mit meiner Nikon D5600 und dem Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro aufgenommen und mit Snapseed bearbeitet.

Of course, there is also a lot of street art and graffiti in Lisbon. But this one appealed to me the most. Very simply, "Everything is politics" was written on a white wall. Because for me, politics is not a matter for politicians, presidents and states, but for us. Just as the German band Tocotronic named one of their albums: Thinking about "How WE want to live".

Por supuesto, también hay mucho arte callejero y grafitis en Lisboa. Pero este es el que más me atrajo. Muy sencillamente, en una pared blanca estaba escrito "todo es política". Porque para mí, la política no es una cuestión de políticos, presidentes y estados, sino de NOSOTROS. Al igual que el grupo alemán Tocotronic nombró uno de sus álbumes: Pensando en "Cómo queremos vivir".

Tomé las fotos con mi Nikon D5600 y el Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro y las edité con Snapseed.
