CAMINHANDO AO LONGO DO TEJO (D/ENG/ESP) - A new entry for the monomad challenge

Bei unserem Aufenthalt in Lissabon (Portugal) haben wir viel Zeit am Fluss Tejo verbracht. Spazierend, auf eine Fähre wartend oder Kaffee trinkend. Dabei sind diese Bilder entstanden. Für die Stadt Lissabon ist er wie eine Lebensader. Er ist ein Wasserspender der Süsswasser bringt. Er ist Nahrungspender durch die Fischerei in seinen Gewässern. Er ist wichtig für den (Welt-) Handelsplatz Lissabon, da er eigentlich in der Stadt in den Atlantik mündet. Dadurch bringt er auch viele, mit den grossen Kreuzfahrtschiffen reisenden Touristen in die Stadt und ist dadurch eine Tourismus-Drehscheibe. Er verkürzt den Arbeitsweg vieler durch seine Überquerung mit den Fähren als Überwasser-Verkehrsmittel. Und er dient der Bevölkerung und auch Touristen als Naherholungsgebiet.
Der Fluss Tejo entspringt im spanischen Gebirge Monte Universales, wo er Tajo genannt wird und ist der längste Fluss der Iberischen Halbinsel. Er ist ca. 1000 Kimometer lang, wobei er nur mit 145 Kliometern Portugal durchfliesst. Schon seit den Römern, damals Tagus genannt, ist er historisch bedeutsam für den Handel und kriegerische Auseinandersetzungen. Aber auch ist er Inspirationsquelle für Kunst und Kultur.
Im einem Fado-Gesang heisst es:"Während die Leute älter werden, bleibt der Tejo ewig jung."

During our stay in Lisbon (Portugal) we spent a lot of time by the river Tejo. Walking, waiting for a ferry or drinking coffee. This is how we took these pictures. For the city of Lisbon it is like a lifeline. It is a water source that brings fresh water. It is a source of food through fishing in its waters. It is important for the (world) trading centre of Lisbon, as it actually flows into the Atlantic Ocean in the city. It also brings many tourists travelling on the big cruise ships to the city, making it a tourism hub. It shortens the commute for many by crossing it with the ferries as an overwater means of transport. And it serves as a recreational area for the population and also tourists.
The river Tagus has its source in the Spanish mountain range Monte Universales, where it is called Tagus, and is the longest river on the Iberian Peninsula. It is about 1000 kilometres long, although it only flows through Portugal for 145 kilometres. Since the time of the Romans, when it was called Tagus, it has been historically important for trade and warfare. But it is also a source of inspiration for art and culture. In a Fado song it says: "While people grow older, the Tagus remains eternally young".

Durante nuestra estancia en Lisboa (Portugal), pasamos mucho tiempo junto al río Tajo. Caminando, esperando un ferry o tomando un café. Así es como tomamos estas fotos. Para la ciudad de Lisboa es como un salvavidas. Es una fuente de agua que aporta agua dulce. Es una fuente de alimento a través de la pesca en sus aguas. Es importante para el centro comercial (mundial) de Lisboa, ya que desemboca en el Océano Atlántico en la ciudad. Por ello, también atrae a muchos turistas que viajan en los grandes cruceros a la ciudad, convirtiéndola en un centro turístico. Acorta el trayecto para muchos al cruzarlo con los transbordadores como medio de transporte sobre el agua. Y sirve como zona de recreo para la población y también para los turistas.
El río Tajo nace en la sierra española del Monte Universales, donde recibe el nombre de Tajo, y es el más largo de la Península Ibérica. Tiene unos 1.000 kilómetros de longitud, aunque sólo atraviesa Portugal en 145 kilómetros. Desde la época de los romanos, cuando se llamaba Tajo, ha sido históricamente importante para el comercio y la guerra. Pero también es una fuente de inspiración para el arte y la cultura. En una canción de fado se dice: "Mientras la gente envejece, el Tajo permanece eternamente joven".
