BEAUTIFUL CREATURE (D/ENG/ESP) - A new entry for Photography Lovers

(D) Was ich beim Reisen in fremde und ferne Länder, Regionen und Orte mag, ist neben anderen Lebensweisen, historische Architektur oder anderen schönen Landschaften zu entdecken, auch das Erforschen, Entdecken und Fotografieren der neuartigen Fauna und Flora. So habe ich nicht schlecht gestaunt, als ich beim nächtlichen Gang zu den sanitärenen Anlagen auf einem Campingplatz in der Toscana (Italien) zufällig dieses fremdartige Wesen, an den weissen Fliesen klebend, erblickte. Nach dem ich dann rasch zum Camper, wo meine Freundin bereits tief und fest schlief, zurückgekehrte und schnell mein Smartphone gezückt habe, rannte ich unauffällig zu den weissen Fliesen der sanitärenen Anlagen zurück, und freute mich sehr, dass das seltsame Insekt auf mich gewartet hat. So fotografierte ich kurzerhand, sicher dreißig Minuten lang, die langhalsige Heuschrecke aus allen möglichen Winkeln mit verschiedenen Zoom- und der Makroeinstellungen. Hier präsentiere ich euch nun eine kleine Auswahl von den entstandenen Bilder.

(ENG) What I like about travelling to foreign and distant countries, regions and places, apart from discovering other ways of life, historical architecture or other beautiful landscapes, is also exploring, discovering and photographing the novel fauna and flora. So I was amazed when, while going to the sanitary facilities at a campsite in Tuscany (Italy) at night, I happened to see this strange creature sticking to the white tiles. After quickly returning to the camper, where my girlfriend was already fast asleep, and quickly pulling out my smartphone, I ran inconspicuously back to the white tiles of the sanitary facilities, and was very pleased that the strange insect was waiting for me. So without further ado, I photographed the long-necked grasshopper from all possible angles with different zoom and macro settings for about thirty minutes. Here I present a small selection of the resulting pictures.

(ESP) Lo que me gusta de viajar a países, regiones y lugares extranjeros y lejanos, además de descubrir otras formas de vida, arquitectura histórica u otros bellos paisajes, es también explorar, descubrir y fotografiar la novedosa fauna y flora. Así que me quedé asombrado cuando, al ir por la noche a los servicios sanitarios de un camping de la Toscana (Italia), vi por casualidad esta extraña criatura pegada a las baldosas blancas. Tras volver rápidamente a la caravana, donde mi novia ya estaba profundamente dormida, y sacar rápidamente mi smartphone, corrí discretamente de vuelta a las baldosas blancas de las instalaciones sanitarias, y me alegré mucho de que el extraño insecto me estuviera esperando. Así que, sin más preámbulos, fotografié al saltamontes de cuello largo desde todos los ángulos posibles con diferentes ajustes de zoom y macro durante unos treinta minutos. Aquí presento una pequeña selección de las imágenes resultantes.

(D) Beim Nachforschen, um welches wunderbare Getier es sich beim entdeckten Insekt handelt, hat mich Google Lens auf die orientalische langhalsige Heuschrecke (Acrida cinerea) verwiesen. Nach weiteren Nachforschungen habe ich mich aber entschieden, dass es sich diesem Exemplar um eine gewöhnliche Nasenschrecke (Acrida ungarica mediterranea) handelt, da diese auch im Mittelmeerraum heimisch ist und ich die Schrecke auch entdeckt habe. Das Weibchen der Nasenschrecken wird bis 8 cm gross, wobei das Männchen bedeutend kleiner bleibt. Als Nahrung verzehren sie gerne Pflanzen. Viel mehr Informationen habe ich bei meinen Nachforschungen nicht entdeckt.

(ENG) While researching which wonderful creature the discovered insect was, Google Lens referred me to the oriental long-necked grasshopper (Acrida cinerea). After further research, however, I decided that this specimen was a common nose cricket (Acrida ungarica mediterranea), as it is also native to the Mediterranean region and I also discovered the cricket. The female of the nose cricket grows up to 8 cm, whereas the male remains significantly smaller. They like to eat plants as food. I did not find much more information during my research.

(ESP) Mientras investigaba qué maravillosa criatura era el insecto descubierto, Google Lens me remitió al saltamontes oriental de cuello largo (Acrida cinerea). Sin embargo, tras investigar un poco más, decidí que este espécimen era un grillo narigudo común (Acrida ungarica mediterranea), ya que también es nativo de la región mediterránea y también descubrí el grillo. La hembra del grillo narigudo crece hasta 8 cm, mientras que el macho es bastante más pequeño. Les gusta comer plantas como alimento. No encontré mucha más información durante mi investigación.

(D) Bearbeitet habe ich die Bilder mit der SNAPSEED Mobile App (Android) auf meinem Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, mit dem ich die Bilder auch aufgenommen habe. Dazu legte ich zuerst den "HDR Scape"-Filter darüber und reduzierte dabei ein wenig seine Helligkeit, um dem Bild ein bisschen Würze zu geben. Dann machte ich mich an die üblichen Feinabstimmungen, wobei ich nochmals die Helligkeit reduzierte, mehr Kontrast gab, das Ambiente verringerte, die Spitzlichter entfernte und die Schatten hervorhob. Weiter nutze ich die Funktion "Details", um der Heuschrecke mehr Struktur zu geben. Die monochromen Bilder entstanden durch das Nutzen der Black&White-Funktion, worin ich ein weiteres Mal die Helligkeit reduzierte und mehr Kontrast gab. Für den letzten Schliff für das gewünschte Ergebnis machte ich mich an weiters Mal an die Feineinstellungen. Beide Prozedere machte ich mit jedem ausgewähltem Bild (Circa ein Drittel der aufgenommen Fotos).

(ENG) I processed the pictures with the SNAPSEED mobile app (Android) on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, which I also used to take the pictures. To do this, I first put the "HDR Scape" filter on top and reduced its brightness a little to give the image a bit of spice. Then I made the usual fine adjustments, again reducing the brightness, adding more contrast, reducing the ambience, removing the highlights and emphasising the shadows. I also used the "Details" function to give the grasshopper more structure. The monochrome images were created by using the Black&White function, where I reduced the brightness one more time and gave more contrast. For the final touch to achieve the desired result, I went back to the fine adjustments. I did both procedures with each selected image (about a third of the photos taken).

(ESP) Procesé las imágenes con la aplicación móvil SNAPSEED (Android) en mi Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, que también utilicé para hacer las fotos. Para ello, primero puse el filtro "HDR Scape" y reduje un poco su brillo para darle un poco de picante a la imagen. Después hice los ajustes finos habituales, reduciendo de nuevo el brillo, añadiendo más contraste, reduciendo el ambiente, eliminando las luces y acentuando las sombras. También utilicé la función "Detalles" para dar más estructura al saltamontes. Las imágenes monocromas se crearon utilizando la función Blanco y Negro, en la que volví a reducir el brillo y a dar más contraste. Para dar el toque final y conseguir el resultado deseado, volví a los ajustes finos. Hice ambos procedimientos con cada imagen seleccionada (aproximadamente un tercio de las fotos tomadas).
