Hello friends of HIVE. These days I was visiting a beautiful city and there were many good moments that I spent. One of these experiences was in the restaurant Bar-Café-Fortuna, in Trinidad de Cuba, a true sanctuary for those who want to spend time with friends and family. I was accompanied by my wife, @leisasa, and a friend, Carlos, who is a tour guide, antique dealer and museologist in this city, which made him the perfect host for this unique place. Hola amigos de HIVE. En estos días estuve visitando una preciosa ciudad y fueron muchos los buenos momentos que pasé. Una de estas experiencia fue en restaurante Bar-Café-Fortuna, en Trinidad de Cuba, un verdadero santuario para los que desean pasar un tiempo compartiendo con amistades y familia. Estaba acompañado por mi esposa, @leisasa, y un amigo, Carlos, quien es guía turístico, anticuario y museólogo en esta ciudad, lo que lo hacía el anfitrión perfecto para este lugar único. Desde el momento en que entramos, noté que este restaurante tenía algo especial, algo que me recordaba a la famosa Bodeguita del Medio, pero con un toque distintivo.

The most striking thing about this place was the decoration. Instead of signatures on the walls, as is common in many restaurants and bars, banknotes of different nationalities and types were plastered all over the place. From the ceiling to the cash register, banknotes covered every square inch of the place.

Not only the fascinating collection of bills from all over the world that adorned its walls and ceilings made this bar unique, but also the unusual elements that were incorporated into its décor. You could find an old sewing machine from the last century converted into a table, where diners enjoyed their drinks. In addition, an antique bathtub had been transformed into seating, adding a quirky and nostalgic touch to the experience. These unexpected details added extra charm to the restaurant's atmosphere, making it a truly memorable and authentic place.

Lo más llamativo de este lugar era la decoración. En lugar de firmas en las paredes, como suele ser común en muchos restaurantes y bares, aquí estaban pegados billetes de diferentes nacionalidades y tipos por todas partes. Desde el techo hasta la caja registradora, los billetes cubrían cada centímetro cuadrado del lugar.

No solo la fascinante colección de billetes de todas partes del mundo que adornaban sus paredes y techos hacia único a este bar, sino también los elementos inusuales que se incorporaban en su decoración. Podías encontrar una antigua máquina de coser del siglo pasado reconvertida en una mesa, donde los comensales disfrutaban de sus bebidas. Además, una bañadera antigua se había transformado en asientos, agregando un toque peculiar y nostálgico a la experiencia. Estos detalles inesperados añadieron un encanto adicional a la atmósfera del restaurante, convirtiéndolo en un lugar verdaderamente memorable y auténtico.

After admiring the decor and enjoying the cozy atmosphere, we decided to try the Canchanchara, a typical Cuban drink that, although I am Cuban, I had never had the opportunity to try. The Canchanchara was delicious, and made me feel even more connected to the culture of my own country.

Después de admirar la decoración y disfrutar del ambiente acogedor, decidimos probar la Canchanchara, una bebida típica cubana que, aunque soy cubano, nunca había tenido la oportunidad de probar. La Canchanchara estaba deliciosa, y me hizo sentir aún más conectado con la cultura de mi propio país.

At the end of our visit, we took a ticket, signed it and stuck it to the ceiling, following the tradition of the place. It was a small but meaningful gesture that made us feel part of something special and unique. The experience at Bar-Cafe-Fortuna was truly incredible. I never imagined that a restaurant could leave me with such a warm feeling and a rewarding memory. It was a memorable evening where I enjoyed the company of loved ones, tasted authentic flavors and immersed myself in the history and tradition of Trinidad de Cuba. Without a doubt, this place has become one of my favorites, and I look forward to returning in the future.

Al final de nuestra visita, tomamos un billete, lo firmamos y lo pegamos al techo, siguiendo la tradición del lugar. Fue un gesto pequeño pero significativo que nos hizo sentir parte de algo especial y único. La experiencia en Bar-Cafe-Fortuna fue verdaderamente increíble. Nunca imaginé que un restaurante podría dejarme con una sensación tan cálida y un recuerdo tan gratificante. Fue una noche memorable en la que disfruté de la compañía de seres queridos, probé sabores auténticos y me sumergí en la historia y la tradición de Trinidad de Cuba. Sin duda, este lugar se ha convertido en uno de mis favoritos, y estoy ansioso por regresar en el futuro.
